  Tavernier Hotel is easily the most comfortable and friendly hotel I've stayed in Courmayeur. The staff were extremely helpful with logistics and with restaurant bookings in the town. The location is perfect for the Dolonne gondola to the slopes and is a short walk into the town.   Location was perfect--an easy 10 minute walk from Courmayauer. The inn keepers were friendly and very helpful. We hiked the TMB and returned 11 days later without a reservation and they were able to put us in the same rooms. Breakfast was great but we preferred to go to town for dinners.
