We managed to get the room with the four-poster bed in, which was of a great size and had a nice en-suite. Florence is very expensive, over-priced for accommodation in my opinion. However, this B&B, at just over £90 per night, was good value for money compared to lots in Florence. The owner was a nice chap and provided us with advice on restaurants, as well as putting on a good quality continental breakfast in the morning and letting us leave our bags there after checkout. The staff we're nice and obliging. 24 hour reception and no curfew. The rooms were great and kept quite tidy. Bathrooms were kept very clean which was nice. Free wi-fi was awesome. Hotel Marine is located just 5 minutes walk from the main train station in Florence. The rooms are large, clean, are in buildings that are hundreds of years old and have great character! Air conditioning works! We walked to most of the major landmarks like. Il Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and the Pantheon. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us an extra room when they had a vacancy next to ours for no extra charge. They provided the BEST breakfast buffet!

Travelling with a friend and they gave us a spacious room with a double bed and a single bed. The room was fully air-conditioned and very clean. It had been newly refurbished so everything was clean and felt like a hotel of a higher rating. It was perfect for my friend and I who are students, we stayed for two nights, we were primarily concerned with budget when booking and were pleasantly surprised with how lovely it was. The breakfast was also far above our expectations. This is a great place to stay if you are on a budget. It was perfect for our needs.
