the water taxi (Vaporetto). Everybody was friendly and helpful. They
allowed us to store our bags for several hours after we checked out so
we could sightsee until it was time to catch our train.

This is a top notch hotel. Very nice rooms with nice big bathrooms. We received a room upgrade so I can't speak on a standard room. Our suite with adjoining rooms was, however, excellent++. The location was INCREDIBLE! The room was perfect and even had a roomy balcony. I can't say enough good things about the staff. All the staff were suberb; they spoke good english, they smiled and they could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent and exactly what we wanted - lots of choice and hot and cold options.
