  We stayed for a weekend and it was a very pleasant experience. Our apartment was larger than expected (intended for 6 and there were just 2 of us).   Being a woman travelling on her own and using the bus and train system in Italy, this hotel was great. I took a direct bus from Florence right to the hotel. The hotel is located at the main bus/train station in Grosseto. I came to the area to see the sites of Maremma. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful, spoke English & couldn't do enough to help. We missed breakfast on the morning of our check-out, but were offered coffee & pastries prior to leaving the hotel. Grosseto is slightly off the beaten path, if you are on a tight schedule, but is well worth visiting.

  I needed to change the rear Tyre of my motorbike and we asked the reception if they knew anywhere to change and the one behind the counter giorgio was so helpfull that he took me to two places around town folowing his car untill we found what we wanted. Very very helpfull.
