  The hostel has a really cool look, the cafe at the front has a nice atmosphere and good food (ended up eating there twice in 2 days). Rooms are comfortable and clean, facilities ample and tastefully decorated, all above hostel standard (the only hostel-like thing is the shower area, but still OK and clean). My friend lost his phone on the last night of our trip, and they quickly informed us when the next guests - By far it was the best hostel I have ever been. The price was not very high, all the facilities and the rooms were superb, and the location of the hostel too, just in the middle of the city centre. The hostel is friendly and has a very nice environment, with locals hanging out, music...In addition, it was very thoughtful of the staff too to give us a complimentary welcome drink. That really was a plus after all. You arrive tired from the journey and you feel home. Worth going there

  A charming hostel with owner that shows great hospitality, offered to check for places to stay and find out the weather just so I have a safe adventure. Feels like home till I extended 2 more nights as a base to explore other areas and also rest even though it is slightly further away from Akureyri. It is comfy and quiet here. Kitchen is spacious, well equipped and has recycle bins. - We arrived late, but were welcomed very warmly. The hostel is nicely located, comfortable and homey- we stayed in the spacious dorm room, the kitchen had all the necessary amenities, the washrooms and all the facilities were clean and well maintained. There were cute decorative touches throughout that made it more special than the typical hostel. The owners also run a cafe with great cappuccino and pastries.
