Nafplion centre is a short drive or 15 min downhill walk. Karathona, a beautiful sandy beach is nea - A very relaxing and peaceful place to stay. Sofia made us feel very welcome and, as we didn't hire a car, kindly picked us up and took us back to the bus station. It is a fair walk down into the town but we enjoyed the views and the exercise was needed after all the delicious Greek food! We would happily return to Nafplio, it's a lovely old city with great cafes to watch the world go by.

  I have traveled all over the world, and I can say with confidence that Costa Navarino is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen. The facilities and the level of service are unbelievable.   My husband and I were totally impressed with the Agamemnon Hotel. It must be one of the BEST hotels in Nafplio for sure. The hotel is situated on the waterfront promenade, so no traffic noise at all! The room and bathroom were quite large for European standards. There are dozens of restaurants on the pro - Perfect location, nice staff and vivid town. We could enjoy the view to the small island from the balcony. Also the parking was not a problem even if the access to the hotel is limited due to the pedestrian zone starting in front of the hotel. There are many friendly and cosy bars on the seafront. In the evening the old center is great, many restaurants and shops and many turists. We could enjoy the Greek hospitality everywhere. The food was very good and one of the best places to eat that we found. You are right beside the beach and a few minutes from the main town but shops right beside you for beach essentials. The hotel itself is very comfortable and has lovely balconies. The Breakfast was included and excellent and the view from the hotel is beautiful.
