We decided with our family to spend part of our holiday in Karpathos and selected to stay at Alcyone Hotel.
We had booked one room but the owners offered to move to a two-room apartment, at no extra cost, because we are three people. We moved to a very nice spacious apartment with all the comforts (air conditioning, safety box, cooking utensils, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, satellite TV, wireless internet, and refrigerator). Incredibly friendly, welcoming and generous. Our 1st night on holiday on
a one night stop. Arrived late after delay, welcomed with drinks,
snacks, even delicious kebabs they had from their own family bbq. Nice
breakfast, when we had to run to catch boat and couldn't wait for
the fruit course insisted on reducing the, already modest, bill. Lovely
people, great atmosphere. Family room huge. A c worked, more than we
could say for other far more expensive places later in the trip.

Apartments was clean and nice, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. Bathrooms are old, but they are clean so we did not mind.

our stay in kos was very good, diamond apartments was one good reason for that. the hotel is located in a peacfull quiet place, 15 minutes walk from the beach, close to bike/scooter rent, local food stores. beautifull pull and relaxing breeze while sitting on the balcony made our pleasent stay. the roud to the beach is full of restorants and small shops.the stuff was very profetional and friendly. everybody knows english very well, at the hotel and all over the island. i would highly recomend

I would write "more than excellent" if it were possible! One of the very best hotels I ever stayed at. Not luxury, I hate them, but every thing just right: people/staff so very friendly and helpful, the layout, the nice rooms, the location (near the town,by bus, near the airport, by the beach). Value for money? could not be better! and very good home-cooked food. Lovely gardens and pool, etc...
