Symi is a fantastic and peaceful island in sharp contrast to Rhodes, from where we traveled by ferry. Fun to go by taxi b -
Amazing hotel in a very convenient location in Symi's port. The hotel has been build as a small village where all rooms lead to the main square which the common garden of the hotel. Very clean with spacious room and very friendly staff. From the first floor some of the rooms have views to the village but there is no view to the sea. This is not a problem because the hotel has lovely gardens and in general the environment is very calming. Highly recommended.

We decided with our family to spend part of our holiday in Karpathos and selected to stay at Alcyone Hotel.
We had booked one room but the owners offered to move to a two-room apartment, at no extra cost, because we are three people. We moved to a very nice spacious apartment with all the comforts (air conditioning, safety box, cooking utensils, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, satellite TV, wireless internet, and refrigerator). Staff was very friendly, enough parking for rented cars very close to your room. You don't really need a car because there is a little shuttle bus, but it's easier to get to your room, and also in general to explore Rhodes... The staff were very helpful and so friendly. The rooms were clean. Compared to other hotels down in town Hillside is also a much more quite location to stay.
Hillside is located about 12-16min walk from town. I am not writing this as a negative as our group was more then happ

The staff at the hotel are amazing and they gives a warm and personal
service for everyone, and they really took care of us all! From Jumped
