  I was told that Kouneni was recently renovated, and it shows. Everything is brand new and very well kept. In my opinion, the pictures do not do it justice. The staff was nice and super helpful.   There are not enough positives to say about this hotel. Marina and Andreas are extremely welcoming and helpful and throughout our stay, they could not do enough for us. The room that we had, built into the rock was wonderful and the layout of the hotel, on the hillside, adds to it's wonderful charm, giving it that unique, boutique feel. It is also very magical, sitting on the terrace in the even - The owners, Marina and Andreas, were always available for help when needed: when my rented car was unable to drive (because of me, since it seems that I forgot how to drive a car with manual transmission), Andreas was so shortly come to me and help me live the car on the road side. (Shortly Later on I found a car with an automatic transmission). This Help of Andreas was very impressive to me. Later on at the check-in in the afternoon time, Marina saw that I feel urgent about to go to the beach.

Giannis (the owner) made us feel more like being hosted by friends than staying in a hotel, and gave us lots of great tips and info on what to visit on the island.
