The friendly neighbourhood is filled with street cafes and restaurants situated among newly renovated apartments with lots of trees and flowers. Food is superb as is people watching. Not a great selection on the main street. But found plenty of great food two blocks behind the hotel. Also, I loved being in Prenzlauer Berg close to great shops, restaurants, etc. It is conveniently located to Alexanderplatz, but not too close that the Chaos from that comes near by. You can take the tram 3 stops or walk there. Beautiful light, comfortable studio! I wish I had an apt. like this in Berlin. :)
