The requested late check out was also great! - 20 minute walk into the city and the Koln Dom. Plenty of resturants etc nearby and 3 min walk to the nearest tram line. Owner was very friendly!

Nice and clean appartement with small kitchen which is perfect for several days (we only used the refrigerator and coffeemaker, so didn't really cook). Next to supermarket for basic needs.   This is excellent in every way. Clean, comfortable, in a quiet area, but still very close to public transport, and the host is very friendly and accommodating. I would not want to stay anywhere else in Cologne.
