I do suggest taking the bus - walking with luggage took a lot longer than expected, especially with a hill at the end. The breakfast was perfect with a huge variety, and beautifully presented. The room was also meticulously clean and had a very cozy & warm, yet modern feel. I hi - We've been travelling for over three months now and this is the best hotel we've stayed in. The staff were amazing; the rooms were clean and quiet; wifi was reliable; the breakfast was a huge buffet and there was coffee to go. It was great to leave the car in the free carpark and walk the 2km across the Mosel River into Trier - an amazing historical city.
