  The hotel can be reached via the Zugspitzebahn, bus or taxi from the Garmisch train station. This is a lovely place, although next time we would get a room with the water view and stay longer. Scenery is spectacular, staff at the hotel the best- had a fabulous meal and evening in the restaurant our group adored the gentleman from Hungary who waite... co mówią ludzie » d on us and made us feel to home, the young lady working the bar was quite delightful too- exceptional hospitality! - The hotel is located in a beautiful spot, below the highest mountain in Germany. It was used by the US military at the end of WWII. In addition to the lake, there is an indoor swimming pool. We would like to return here for a family reunion as there are enough activities in the area for all ages.
