  The place is wonderful. Rolfo the owner was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The views from the windows are spectacular over the vineyards. The room is equipped with a little kitchen that has everything you need if you prefer eating at home. Very clean as well. We did not use the pool, but we saw it and it is great! Right next to the house there is a wonderful bakery that serves breakfas - The owners are very helpful, the indoors pool is quite nice (try jacuzzi-like thing, very funny :), our appartment was really comfortable and very clean, the view from the window fascinating (vineyards on the high slope over the Mosel river), nice promenade on the Mosel river and hiking trails just outside the door. Very good! Do not miss Dax winestube and Mosela schinkenstube and the bakerei just in front of the latter.

  The hotel was really nice and the staff friendly. And on Easter morning they had a small Easter surprise for every quest. It made the stay more personal. - The staff was so friendly and personable. The hotel was well kept, and obviously cared for.

  We spent the weekend in Frankfurt and needed a place to stay for just one night as we extended our trip and also wanted to visit Cochem and Burg Eltz. A few people were recommending this cute little place on the internet and as the location was perfect and the price even better (50 Euros/night) we decided we'd go for it. She even asked twice if she could help carry our bags :) She was extremely welcoming - Friendly welcome by Barbara, very clean and comfortable accommodation. Situated close to many local attractions along the river mosel; including excellent cycling tracks and a lovely outdoor swimming pool (5 minutes walk). Although we did hire a car for the week we took advantage of a free local bus pass.

  We stayed in the single apartment it was small but nicely appointed and comfortable. The hosts Helmut and Margit were very friendly and helpful. We got a free Guest Pass for the local bus system that was very helpful as we able to stay in Ellenz which is much less busy than Cochem. Several nice places to eat. Thank you Helmut and Margit. - Gastehous Preuss is a lovely practical place to stay. We were able to walk to several good restaurants were able to bike and site see along the Mosel river. The wine racks provided easy access to great local wines.
