  We came off a boat trip up the Rhine and found the hotel an easy 15min walk to the hotel from the landing. We found the staff most helpful as we only speak English. They directed us to a great little German pub with very good food at an excellent price. The host was a hoot!!   Our recent stay at Hotel Alexander was absolutely great. The staff was wonderful and helpfpul. We had room 11 which was a corner room and was just beautiful, relaxing and comforting. The breakfast was yummy and the selection of items just right.   Location is very convenient you may travel either by car or train. Frankfurt downtown is 15 minutes. Wiesbaden and Mainz are also nearby. The owners are keen to satisfy every need from bed preference to restaurant recommendation. Very central, in fact right next to the train station. Not noisy at all, however, though this may be more of a problem in summer. Excellent breakfast.
