The location was ideal for us - in Menton-St. Bernard village, close to the lake and to the town Annecy, but very quiet and far from hordes of tourists. Some of the furniture had added significance in that it was heirlooms from the owner's extended family. The owner was very helpful and suggested a fabulous local restaurant. It has been in the hands of the same family ever since, though ownership is now being transferred to the staff, who are running it as a co-operative.
