Martine met us and her greeting was warm and welcoming, a lovely lady with a good sense of humour. Our accommodation was perfect with a wonderful outlook over the fascinating and extensive garden. The breakfast was delicious and the presentation was superb. I would return any time.

The lady running the front desk was very nice and helpful. Rooms and public areas were lovely. It was very quiet. It was particularly good that it had a kettle to make tea and coffee as most hotels in Europe (as opposed tot UK, US and Australia) do not have this. - One of the best hotels we ever stayed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely location and beautiful gardens. It is a shame we didn't have more time there. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but breakfast on the terrace was delicious and a delightful spot. Woken at 6.00am by the smell of fresh baking bread. Heaven! -

The attention of the staff was first class as was the service! We stayed in the 'old' part of the hotel which was very comfortable and very clean. All the staff were exceptionally helpful! - The room was very welcoming after a long drive and the facilities excellent. The dining room, food and wine were exceptional value for money.

The owners and staff in this two-star establishment were very friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant offers a fresh, home made menu and does it very well. The sheltered terrace is a nice place to have a drink or eat in the sun. The optional breakfast is also excellent and offers more than most. Very good value for money overall. Nicely situated on the square with easy access. Madame speaks very good English which is a bonus for we who have not mastered French!

Quirky hotel, but interesting and comfortable. A lot of history attached from Laurence Sterne, through Victor Hugo to FM Haig. Run by English speaking couple. - unusual quirkey decor which took some getting used too but fine if a little tired
