Close to the university once we crossed some of the major roads walking. - None of the above words described it for what we wanted - it was close proximity to motorway that we chose it.

  The staff were amazing. Spoke very good English and were very helpful. While we were in France, our car was broken into (not at the hotel) the young man on the desk went above and beyond to find a repair centre that had the part in stock and made all the arrangements

Although not forced by contract, we received a partial refund as a goodwill gesture from the hotel director. The hotel is located next to a bus station, which give's easy access to the city center.
