Our second visit within a fortnight received a warm welcome with a room away from the traffic, although the refurbishment of the rooms provides an impressive degree of sound-proofing throughout. Once again, a fine dinner experience in the spacious and well-furnished restaurant with a good and varied menu. Car parking is at the rear and provides a degree of security away from the passing traffic. We'll be back soon!.
wszystkie opinie » The staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We arrived after hours and late and they drove back to the hotel to let us in. The room was more like 4 stars in terms of Australian standards with a newly renovated room. Nice rooms, frontside rooms have double windows which work very well to keep traffic noise out, good restaurant for in the evenings, limited choice at breakfast but good quality fresh products. Great Rooms with wonderful Bathrooms, Clean and Comfortable, Excellent Restaurant serving fresh imaginative food, Friendly Owner and Staff, Very Stylish and tidy. Great off-street parking. Excellent decor to high standard and very clean. Restaurant is very nice with a good menu and well cooked and presented food. Management are friendly and very efficient. The lady was very welcoming and was great throughout our one night stay. The evening meal was superb and breakfast more than adequate. Very friendly and helpful and the food was great. The town its self is not very nice and if you are there on a Sunday nothing is open for tea and your only choice is Maccas or a chinese place but as we were only passing through on our way to interlarken it was fine. Good for passing through to somewhere else. Free WiFi not on (all?) rooms, only at the bar/restaurant. Breakfast not very good, could have had more choice and a help yourself section. No fruit, cereal or Yogurt offered and a bit expensive at €9.50. Access to the room up steep and winding stairs (no lift) very difficult and room a little small. Nothing. The hotel exterior is not very appealing. No wifi in bedroom. The exterior, particularly at the back was a bit off putting initially. The hotel is located in a rather unattractive neighborhood and is not within walking distance of the center of Chaumont, which is not a particularly exciting city. Location not great but OK for overnight stop. Breakfast a little skimpy - would have liked greater choice. Bathroom light switch coming off the wall - not safe, needs fixing. Location. - would have liked air con in the room. Triple glazed to keep out road noise but no form of ac or ventilation so do not book if hot. Bed small and uncomfortable. Hotel and restaurant were closed on Sunday. They gave me code number to enter into their hotel but it isn't very pleasant to sleep by your own in an empty hotel.No discount offered !.
