  This was our second and more thorough visit to cognac. It is a beautifultown and we had several good meals in town with taxi back to the hotel.The hotel was very comfortable with excellent and helpful staff.   Good location, easy to find next to railway station. Rooms clean and of reasonable size. Breakfast good selection, nice to have homemade preserves - Everything!! The accommodation, the facilities, EXCELLENT staff, meals ... We were treated as individuals and made very welcome.

  We were needing a stopover on the way from St Malo to Gascony and this was as good as it gets to locate, to relax and to be treated as important customers. Staff couldn't do more for us.   This was a lovely experience and we were warmly welcomed by the hosts who were extremely friendly and understanding. The chateau is beautifully furnished with lovely antique furniture and artifacts. Breakfast is shared with other guests giving people a chance to meet and talk and we found it an enjoyable experience. We will definitely stay here again should we visit this part of France again. - Quite outstanding house and grounds in the middle of Cognac. Formerly the home of the Martell familiar, it is one of the most luxurious houses in the area and very well located for all that Cognac has to offer.
