Hospitality of staff, great breakfast, design of building was very warm and nice, close to nature, away from highway, attention to all details for a great holiday. -

We were able to bring our puppy along, and it was very convenient having an outside entrance/exit from the room on the first floor, loved it! The kids loved the pool/waterslide and the waffles/bacon for brekky in the morning. -

Loved the jacuzzi suite. The steamer in the shower was an added bonus. Room was one of the nicest that we've stayed in. Will go back there again! Buffet dinner was excellent, buffet breakfast was delicious too. -

Very friendly and obliging staff. Comfortable room with microwave and fridge. Quiet location in small town. Above average continental breakfast. Free use of computer if you do not have your own. I chose this town rather than Drumheller to stay to explore the dinosaur heritage of the area, and was very pleased with this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We usually stay at the Mettera, which is also on Whyte and owned by the same company. We decided to give the Varscona a try and it was great. I enjoyed their wine and cheese hour that they had for hotel guest and the continental breakfast the next morning was really good. It kind of reminded me of my stay in Sonoma and Napa Valley. Upon check-in we were treated like royalty! We were a group of friends who get together once a year to shop and socialize. The first night was a BBQ, together with the hot breakfasts a definite must-stay for next year! The rooms were spacious and the beds were exquisite! Five of us stayed in a two-bedroomed suite, overnighting between landing at the airport and picking up a motorhome. This was the best hotel experience of our Canadian holiday; not the swankiest, not the best located, not the most elegant, but by far the most hospitable. Early check-in? No problem. better once the construction is finished. I did not use any of the
facilities but would recommend the rooms for sure. -

The lake view is gorgeous. If you've already plan to spend big money to stay in this hotel, I suggest you spend extra 100 to get a room with lake view. It's totally worth it.
And you will have free wi-fi access if you register as a fairmont member. Just fill out an application form in the front desk. simple and easy.
