Everything was exceptionally clean & clean smelling. Breakfast was very good & they kept everything freshly stocked. Super nice to have cookies available in the evening & coffee, tea, hot choc throughout the day. Very quiet. Will DEFINITELY stay again! -

We were able to bring our puppy along, and it was very convenient having an outside entrance/exit from the room on the first floor, loved it! The kids loved the pool/waterslide and the waffles/bacon for brekky in the morning. -

Loved the jacuzzi suite. The steamer in the shower was an added bonus. Room was one of the nicest that we've stayed in. Will go back there again! Buffet dinner was excellent, buffet breakfast was delicious too. -

Very friendly and obliging staff. Comfortable room with microwave and fridge. Quiet location in small town. Above average continental breakfast. Free use of computer if you do not have your own. I chose this town rather than Drumheller to stay to explore the dinosaur heritage of the area, and was very pleased with this hotel.

Enthusiastic and motivated staff, a huge room with big bathroom (with bath), good restaurant which isn't too overpriced, beautifully comfortable beds and a good gym and swimming pool.

Despite the fact that the hotel looked really luxurious, the staff were very friendly and down do earth.
The decor was amazing and the rooms were very spacious.
No charge for wireless internet connection.
A fabulous business office where you could keep in touch with your work.
Very nice pool and some outdoor patio spaces.
The beds were awesome - I mean really comfortable.
There is a Starbucks on site - how good can it get?
The rates were reasonable too!

The room was spotless, and the decor was modern. The hotel was literally the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. So close to the downtown but no downtown noise and no noise from the other guests - a complete luxury. I was so impressed I asked at the front desk and was told the rooms are double insulated so sound does not carry. -

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We usually stay at the Mettera, which is also on Whyte and owned by the same company. We decided to give the Varscona a try and it was great. I enjoyed their wine and cheese hour that they had for hotel guest and the continental breakfast the next morning was really good. It kind of reminded me of my stay in Sonoma and Napa Valley. Upon check-in we were treated like royalty! We were a group of friends who get together once a year to shop and socialize. The first night was a BBQ, together with the hot breakfasts a definite must-stay for next year! The rooms were spacious and the beds were exquisite! Five of us stayed in a two-bedroomed suite, overnighting between landing at the airport and picking up a motorhome. This was the best hotel experience of our Canadian holiday; not the swankiest, not the best located, not the most elegant, but by far the most hospitable. Early check-in? No problem.
