The hotel is charming. The staff are among the nicest, most helpful and
accommodating I've found in all my travelling. The room and bathroom
were spacious and clean, the bed could have slept 4 people! The location
of the hotel was great for tourists, shopping (although touristy
shopping mostly) and taxis were abundant and within a 1 minute walk.
Good restaurants were plentiful within walking distance as well.

The owners, Augusta and her brother Thales, and the staff, Nathalie,
Marcio, and Val, are welcoming, multilingual, and unfailingly
considerate and helpful. The pousada and its rooms are elegant yet
unfussy, tranquil, quiet, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast served at
the Casa da Vitória is extraordinary, worthy of a four-star restaurant.

We just loved our stay. Everything was made to make our stay lovely with
small attentions. For example we were on honeymoon and when we arrived

A magical design oasis! Extraordinary boutique hotel with only 5
rooms/suites at the edge of Salvador's Pelhouriño is the most
memorable way of being introduced to the historic centre of the city.
The staff is extremely helpful in every way possible and the breakfast
cook will introduce you to authentic flavours of the region if you
wish...with the breakfast buffet a rainbow of tropical fruits and
delicious baked goods - omelets to order. Cannot recommend high enough!!

The staff is helpful, friendly and very cooperative. We have been
travelling in brasil for quite a while and this is the only
recommendation we placed at booking. Casa petunia is a place were you
feel comfortable directly. The rooms are excellent (good showers!). The
pousada is nice decorated with a family- atmosphere. The breakfast is

The atmosphere was quite intoxicating leaning toward the exotic. The proprietor made us feel very at home almost as if we were staying with welcoming friends. Mornings couldn't come soon enough anticipating the excellent breakfast that awaited us. The Atlantic beach, walking minutes away from the pousada was beckoning. The rooms were comfortable especially the lobby and dining area, which was filled with exquisite art and furnishing from Bali. Casa Petunia far exceeded all of our expectations.

This is an outstanding small hotel with fabulous, individually appointed rooms, immense charme and character, situated in a quiet location in the middle of the historic center of Salvador, serving a delicious breakfast and offering excellent cuisine. We where a bit uncertain where to stay in Salvador given its reputation of not being the worlds most secure place... This Pousada is located about 15-20 min walk from the Pelorinhou which at first glance (we arrived late night) may seem a bit insecure. But that impression was wrong, the walk to Pelorinho is beautiful with interesting buildings and

location is safe and very pleasant, just few minutes of walk to Pelourinho. rooms are clean and have a very pleasant atmosphere. tasty breakfast on terrace was a very nice start for a day in Salvador. Zelina (the owner) was very helpful.
