  I'm normally sceptical about ratings from other people & this place has a very high score - but I agree with the majority. The owner, Michel, has set up the place with a simple and elegant balance between medieval & contemporary - very nice . . . and very clean! The breakfast was fresh & tasty with a couple of unique elements. Michel - This B&B is really exceptional. The house is four hundred years old but has been lovingly restored by Michel, the owner, and is now very comfortable indeed with a great bed. The location is amazing - directly opposite the extensive, exquisite and peaceful 13th century Begijnhof (a sort of village within a town), but just a 10 minute walk right into the centre of Leuven which is a lively and happy university town, or a 5 minute walk to the river and walks in the forest.   Wow, what a great surprise. I had seen the photos, and knew that there were spa facilities, but I had not anticipated the size and scope of them. I was quite impressed, and took full advantage of most of the complex. The breakfast was outstanding, and I ate to my heart's content. My daughter was travelling with me as I had to have a heart procedure at the hospital, and they made her feel very safe and secure, as it was the first time staying in a hotel on her own. The room was spacious and the addition of a working living flame fire made it very cosy.

  Nothing was too much trouble for this B&B owners. Having arrived late at night, Rene fetched us from the train station with no extra cost and could not have made our stay more comfortable. Beautiful establishment with attention to every detail. Breakfast was one of the best we have had. It is a cosy and relaxing place and I will visit - Hotel and restaurant need to be considered separately because there is a degree of mismatch between them. The hotel provides clean, comfortable, well thought out and equipped accommodation aimed at business travelers and it does this well. The restaurant is more up-market and offers fine dining from a good menu. It was surprisingly full for our Monday evening meal. The restaurant does what it does very well.
