The location of the Hilton Sydney is extremely advantageous for the traveller, as one can get on the train form International airport and it drops you at Townhall Station. From htere, it is only a case of up the escalators and along the street a short distance to the Hotel. I stayed on the Executive Floor and this was well worth the extra $$$ as the Executive Lounge has internet facility (complimentary computers) and the breakfast and pre-drinks/canapes are very nice and the lounge is comfortab.

We checked out in the morning and left our bags with the concierge as we had a late flight back to Europe. When we came back to collect our bags I asked if there was anywhere I could get changed (into travelling clothes). I was given a pass to the inhouse gym and told I could also use the shower. This was a fantastic service and I really appreciated being able to do this before a 24 hour flight home!. The staff at the Sydney Hilton were excellent and went out of their way to help you. The buffet breakfast was outstanding and all the personnel who worked there made you feel welcome and helped out in any way they could. overall this is an excellent hotel to stay at . centrally located across the street from the QVB, and within walking distance of most of the things you want to see in Sydney. The Hotel is very well located right in the centre of the city. It is up to the typical Hilton standard which I find universally excellent across Asia. I try to stay here each time I visit Sydney if only to eat at Glass, the restaurant inside the hotel which is excellent. And the breakfast on the exec floor is very good. We upgraded to a King Suite wthout even asking - this is the top level of room and was a lovely surprise. It was huge and has amazing view of the city on three sides. Free drinks and canapes were included which was great, though it was a bit like being in the Qantas lounge. The breakfast buffet is very good. Corner Room, extremely comfortable and modern interior, Breakfast in Glass Brasserie, Late Checkout, Reduced cost on valet parking as guest. Ability to only pay $199 for its location, facilities, comfort and as a last minute booking, i highly recommend the Hilton Sydney. We enjoyed our stay very much-even though we had a hic up with the first room we were given-it was occupied or not cleaned for new guests..otherwise it was great.Enjoyed the afternoon tea & really enjoyed our birthday celebration breakfast-we'll be back. Awesome location, staff, comfort.etc. I always stayed at Hilton hotels, but this Hilton is the best!! Best location in the city, you can walk, take a taxi, bus. TV was complicated to use, ended up aborting the use of TV. Clock radio was tuned way off the station and was unable to tune in, really bad reception. The check in process took quite a long time. This was because we had a trainee on the front desk - which I have no problem with at all - however, there was no other staff on to help her and consequently there was also several people behind us waiting to check in as well. We only stayed one night and had check out time of 11am, but three times before 10am we had housekeeping knocking on the door to make up the room. If there is one thing that will stop me from staying here again is the atrocious wifi. For such a business orientated hotel not to have excellent reception in every room is not good enough. When you check in its always a lottery as to whether the room will have good or bad wifi which is frustrating. Also, in this age of generally free wifi in many hotels, to have to pay for it at all is annoying. We chose a twin room for comfort and the beds were quite small. A lot of space was taken up by the desk which would only be needed by people on business. Hilton Management need to review their check in times and be more flexible for customers arriving early in the morning (6am) and having to wait until 3pm for the room after travelling all night. Breakfast wasn't very good value for money. $84 nets you two typical bacon and eggs style breakfasts. Will probably head down to one of the nearby cafes next time. The exorbitant wireless charges, especially given hotel guests had free access in the lobby. The breakfast room was crowded and lacked privacy. Whist we would never smoke in a bedroom nor in eating areas designated smoking facilities were non existant. The bathroom was small as was the bedroom although very modern and spotlessly clean. The telephone charges for two local calls were ludicrous and would affect my decision to stay again at this hotel. The hot food in breakfast sometimes was only like warm. nothing. The fragrance they put through the vents is overpowering especially at night. It interrupted my sleep & is sole reason I would think twice about staying there again. The swimming pool is under renovation and no staff knows this until I go to there ... there is only a notice posted on the door entered to there. No hot chocolate option for teenage daughter, all coffee and tea. Pool/gym area a bit dated looking. told couldnt use points for food or spa, bar fridge set up, the tea and coffee amenities were very "standard" and no fresh milk. Could not fault the place. The mini bar has sensors for each product so you are unable to move products around to fit your own drinks in the fridge. No free wifi in the room, it was available in the lobby. The bed left us with back pain. The sensor for the snacks did not have a bigger sign instead of the sign at the side of the table.Also it would be good if the reception would tell us about the lift as we kept pressing our number of the floor but the lift would not stop.Finally asked a worker who got on to show us what to do. Parking is not free for guests and also very expensive!!! Wifi in rooms is not complimentary. nothing. Nothing. nothing. the service provided by Mr Albert on the phone from reservation office was unhelpful and arrogant. Wi-Fi was expensive. The location is good, but very noisy at night. Buffet breakfast was average and the rooms were very small. For the price you would expect a little bit. The breakfast served at the Executive Lounge was a bit poor. The hotel charged doubly of the stay. Rather spartan room with a chilly atmosphere. Grudging alcohol service in executive lounge. nothing. The initial service when my booking error was pointed out. Was disrupted by housekeeping at 8 am even though we were only staying for one night and checking out at 11 am. Wish me and my partner could have stayed longer.
