A previous guest had clearly smoked in the room. I could not re-locate to another room since there are no reception staff available after 4:00 pm on Sundays. The hotel does not accept American Express cards. This was not clear on letsbookhotel.com where I used my American Express card to secure the booking. Everything was perfect. The location just great for visiting the Salamanca Markets and surrounds. All facilities were thoroughly thought out and well designed. You don't usually have self contained units serviced daily .. but they did and it was a treat to arrive back after a long day and all was done.

Beautifully laid out room with separate bedroom and the bathroom was to die for. Spa, walk in shower, large room. Wished I could have stayed longer and cooked a meal! Gerri was a delight!. Nicely appointed excellent new appliances easiest TV to use ever in a hotel. Plenty of space comfortable bed lounge. Location terrific had a car left it parked however on site parking available but didn't need is as plenty of on street parking during weekend. Close to Salamanca Market the docks. The cleanliness and comfort of the hotel is wonderful. The location of the hotel is perfect for what we wanted to do, and the coffee shop/cafe downstairs was great. Towels were nice & fluffy. Obviously the hotel is new but has some design faults. Begining with the charming and efficient receptionist, everything was to perfection: excellent room facilities, proximity to Salamanca Place, adjacent cafe/restaurant for breakfast. The car parking system is a technical wonder. 100m from the main Salamanca Wharf tourist area of Hobart - just perfect for our 5 day holiday. The apartment was great only 9mths old so everything was brand new! The staff friendly and very helpful. Great location, close to dozens of restaurants and cafes in Salamanca Square. Toilet was set very low with a very large opening into pan that made you feel you could fall in. First floor rear room meant looking out onto stone wall approx a meter away. If booking again would request 2nd or 3rd floor room that overlooks Battery Point. The design of the shower is not appropriate for the size, as the water goes everywhere. For this design, one needs a larger area. No hanging space in bathroom, needs at least some hooks, only has one single towel rail. There is nowhere to put one's luggage, which means that you have to put it on the bed...not very satisfactory. Apart from these faults, it's a beautiful place. The hotel is so new, many of the local cab drivers had no idea where to go even though we gave hotel & street name. On arrival from the airport, we were "dumped" at another hotel with a similar name. Luckily the walk was downhill!. Not applicable. Nothing. Nothing to dislike. noise from building site across the street was miserable and started at 6 am both mornings. shower a strange configuration and gets floor all wet bedside halogen lights for reading not suitable at all many lights in the room at night…all light switches shine blue only one set of lights for whole room with no option for just lights over bed or a lamp fridge in room full of mini bar items with no room for groceries to use kitchenette. No lighting over the kitchen bench. Poor fitting of blinds on bedroom window (let in light directly on to bed/sleeper); Poor sound proofing against street noise (and, additionally, in our case one of your alarms which rang through the night); Limited information about very restricted parking. Lack of furnishing in lift vestibule on upper floor makes the area look bare and unfinished. View out of the window to a brick wall. Reception closed at 6pm, so a key was left is safety deposit box and so therefore could not access the carpark. No entertainment unit ie: CD/IPOD or DVD player. The strong smell of floor cleaner when we arrived. Nothing really =). No full length mirror provided and split mirror in bathroom was inconvenient. The wardrobe was a bit too narrow. No view!. Needs blinds no privacy!. Limited front office hours. The deck needed a chair!. Nothing. Lack of space for cases and hanging clothes Hotel not known to taxi driversGood. Bad clothes hanging. couldn't park our bigger car in the car park. No room service. Overpriced. Poor 'cheap' design. No full length mirror. No bathroom hooks. Bathroom looked like it worked around lift well - not people!. Dodgy parking facilities! Our car was damaged by the parking machine. Staff inadequately trained. Management showed complete lack of good customer service in dealing with the issue. In the penthouse loft the floor area is limited for a person who is 180cm tall. I would estimated that only 50% of the living area is available for an average height person.Had to sleep on my uncomfortable side of bed as I would knock my head getting up. Also there was another board on the ceiling that reduced the height more. You should warn people booking room 19 that the height room is for height challenged people. Parking was a problem for our standard SUV (didn't fit) - had to park on the street which was a nuisance.
