Owner was so friendly and helped in everyway.Rang and booked tours for us. Always took time to stop and have a chat. Older style motel but lovely and clean, bed so comfy. We ended up staying 6 nights and wanted for nothing in the rooms. On arrival was told rooms are not serviced but if you need anything don't hesitate to ask.If you are after 5 star luxury not for you but for nice clean country accomadation this is great . One tip the shower curtain must be inside the shower not outside or you w.

She even offered me a lift to the airport after letting me stay for an extra hour at the hotel just so as it could coincide with my departing flight.I would stay here again without hesitation. Thanks Teena & Shelly Beach Motel!. The owners are great. I arrived at 8am and they did everything to make the room ready as soon as possible. The breakfast is great too. I had wonderful sleep there. So far it is the hotel with the best value for money I had in Australia. I would certainly book again. The motel is in a wonderful position just across the road from the beach and a short walk away from good restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and have all the necessary amenities and were good value for money. Wise use of space in toilet and shower. Low bench was good for meals and general use. Bed was comfortable and had enough coverings. Wall decor gave a homely touch. Brick internal walls gave a warm feel. Floor coverings were spotless. Everything. Stayed in a hole on my northbound journey. Shelly Beach was such an enlightenment on my southbound journey. Airy, clean. great view and friendly, friendly. Most of all I loved the cat theme. Made it homey. Loved the closeness to the beach, and the quietness of the motel room and complex. So the most guest will have a car. The hotel is not perfectly isolated. Still, I had a great sleep (and i have normally a very light sleep). Rubbish bin hadn't been emptied before we arrived. nothing. Nothing to dislike. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing, it is a wonderful setting within a lovely yard. The shower head is too low for a tall person like me. It might be an idea to install telescopic showers to rectify this problem with little cost. We had a faulty refrigerator in the room and did not keep food real cold in fridge but freezer was ok. Nothing. not having a stove to use. A little noisy at night. No negatives - we had an enjoyable quick stay. Too far to walk to hotels restaurants etc..... Wifi was via being given a 1 hour scratch card. We had 2 phones and a laptop so asked for 3 cards. Very soon the allowance was used up and we still needed to do more. Essentially it's wrong to say free wifi and just give one hours use. Terrible lighting (flourescent tubes), one in the kitchen area and another near the TV. Easily confused with a similar named "Shelly Hotel" place nearby. Sorry but I wouldn't choose here again.
