The hotel was great! We loved the location near the beach. Everything we needed was in walking distance, we only used the car twice in our week stay. The staff was very nice. I went to get coffee from the lobby and they were out so the woman at the front made more. The room was very clean. Almost every hotel I have stayed at the shower water pressure was bad and theirs was great!! We got engaged while on vacation and it was a vacation my fiancé and I will never forget. We will definitely stay h.
alle vurderinger » the rooms were clean,the elevator was clean , plenty of ice , always hot coffee, the front desk staff was very nice ,helpful and knoledgeable of the area. the cleaning staff was very friendly,nice and give us extra clean towels and things we ask for you cant beat the price we were right in the middle of good food ,shopping and dancing spots ,activities to do and so close to the beach .....we enjoyed our stay ..and would go back . The room was super clean. I am a freak about bugs and turn into a sissy girl. I throughly searched for any critters and found zero. It was a very easy stroll, on the way to the beach we walked by restaurants and shops. Free wifi, all of the employees were kind and housekeeping helped out anyway possible. We will not be staying anywhere other than the Sundial Inn on future trips to Virginia Beach. The staff was great - A+++ -very friendly place. Room was clean, just dated, which was ok. I'd rather have clean. No bugs! Daily maid service a plus.The location was awesome, just a few minutes walk to the beach. Having coffee available in the lobby anytime I wanted it was a bonus. I loved the location to the beach and the staff was very friendly in the office and even when you walked by they spoke to you. I was pleasantly surprised by the large room and kitchen area for the price. Would definitely return and recommend to others. What I liked about Sundial Inn it was walking distance to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The room was neat and the beds were very comfortable. Cleanliness of facility, access to the beach, friendliness of staff, quiet after dark, free parking, access to boardwalk, family friendly and cost. Having a full kitchen with stove, fridge, and cookware allowed us to save money and cook a few meals. Cable TV programming. Very nice and clean unlike our experience at the palm Grove which was horrible....rooms are large and accommodating ... Spacious clean room, close to downtown and the beach, friendly staff,reasonably priced. The house keepers respect to guests, the fair price, and also neat- ness is good. I liked how everything was in reasonable walking distance. Price was great, lots for our family to do close by. location, economy, and services. friendly staff. Staff. The staff was very friendly & great to deal with. Our blow dryer quit working they came & replaxced it immediately. The kitchen was a money saver for us & equipped for a family of four with the basics plates, bowls , pots & pans. We would come back & stay again. The rooms were large and clean. A new ironing board and an iron new in the box were in the room. All rooms have microwave and refrigerator. Air conditioning worked very well. The property is older but I the charge per room was in keeping with that. Free wi-fi. Free parking. What I enjoyed about the Sundial Inn was that it fit into my budget and it was very close to the beach. Very easy to check into after arriving at 3 a.m. in the morning. It was a non smoking room and it stunk like cigarettes and gave me a headache. Run down place with musty towels. It was only 2 blocks from the beach and the staff was friendly as well. Sheets seemed to be clean. food facilities were very close. Close to the beach. The wi-fi didn't work all the time. the rooms we a little dated. That our trip wasn't long enough!!. parking was tight Pool not heated but my daugher enjoyed it anyway. Nothing. Tight parking spaces, sometimes few or no spaces available for tenants. Shower curtain too thick and made showering dark and difficult to see. We were there for five days n four nights.... and only once was our room cleaned...n never were we asked for clean towels or anything ...we had to go to lobby for toilet paper n fresh towels...!. Parking was a little bit of a pain. Not many spaces close to the rooms. The receptionist charged me extra money for my children are more than 12, according to her. Since I did not know about this, I asked her to override this or to talk to her supervisor. She refused unprofessionally and with poor customer service. Not the money her attitude annoyed me. Noise. a/c system sound noisy. some noise from mcdonalds. This is not a true dislike just a suggestion. Maybe brighten up the rooms with a lighter color paint & change all the dark brown decor including bedding to beach colors & themes. Only true dislike was the carpet could use shampooing. There were only sheets and the bedspread on the bed. No blankets on the bed or in the closet. We never got maid service. No new towels, sheets, etc. and we did not have a "do not disturb" sign on the door. In fact, there was not one to put on the door. The room smelled like mold. The bathroom was not clean when I checked in. The part that upset me most was the bed had bedbugs. It was horrible!!!!!!! Wr found Roaches in the kitchen cabinet where the dishes were. The hotel outeriors were badly painted. Pool not opened during our stay. I did not like the slant of the building/room. room furniture was run down and broken, no soap for dishes or dish rack, tile floor when wet dangerous, refrigerator was clean but had to go buy dawn to rewash dishes, had to ask three days in a row for floor to be vacuumed and garbage removed, pool area dirty with litter and broken chairs. no outside chairs to sit on outside your room. The carpet was filthy, the vents,bathroom and kitchen were disgusting. It smelled stuffy and unclean which it was.I wouldn't recommend or return!!. needs remodeling. what they advertised suppose to have a kitchen had to pay extra. still have not received refund for that. Not clean, neglected areas. It took longer than expected to check-in (new person in training but there was no explanation provided or apology for the long wait). The bathroom door did not close. The room smelled terrible, like cigarette smoke, when it is supposed to be smoke-free. Everything is old and needs to be upgraded. The comforters were old and rough and pillows were flat. In general, the inn is poor quality for the price paid. Rooms need updated badly. Location of hotel is convenient, however is on main artery into town (21st St) and very loud unless you keep tv and a/c on to drown out city noise. facility was care worn & musty smelling Continental breakfast would have been nice Pool was visited by too many visitors not staying at motel. Room not as described, old and outdated,musty need of repair,no elevator 3rd floor rm. No coffee maker in the room, smelled old, old tv, expensive. Loud & noisy, I called front desk to ask them to call police, No Answer.Took stairs to go to vehicle, concrete on stairs crumbling hazard to anyone using stairs.Several police came Saturday night because several guest called 911 from cell phone. Carpet should be replaced. For the amount we paid it was nasty inside and out! We found a tick on our remote beds were hard and it had covered(mudded) up holes in the walls as well. Also the shower mat was NASTY! This Place needs updated badly. noise every night up till 4am. fights outside, drinking under garage, room numbers were taped on walls. sleep was very poor, car was dented under garage,. We were promised a kitchen and there wasn't one. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. No one came to collect the trash or towels. I reserved the room to attend a wedding and had to cancel my reservation due to my elderly father falling. I called on a Thursday to cancel my reservation on Saturday and was still charged for the room which I think is wrong, I would never recommend anyone booking here. They exchanged dirty towels for clean towels daily did not empty trash at all, I did, they did not vacuum, they only made bed twice all week.
