  We had a wanderful 3 days trip in this hotel. This hotel is just a short drive from Santa Cruz and about an 1 drive from San Francisco. The room was very clean and the bed was very confortable. The hot tube and the heated pool was very nice even the weather was a bit chilly. The restaurant is very nice too. This hotel is very good if you want to stay close to Santa Cruz or eve - The rooms and the staff were most attentive to our needs. The desk staff friendly and helpful. We had an excellent waiter for dinner who understood our needs and time constraints; he also arranged a cab for us. The bed was comfortable and got a good nights sleep.

  The hotel is in walking distance from the beach and boardwalk and downtown Santa Cruz. The double king room where we stayed was very roomy and clean. Actually, the room was like a suite of two rooms (with one bed in each room) sharing a single bath. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast had more variety than most other hotels in it... hva folk sier » s class. The choices even included fresh Belgium Waffles! - Everything! We stayed in a jacuzzi room and it was just perfect. I love that there is a separate living room/kitchen and bdrm and the fact that the bath is huge with a large shower and separate jacuzzi. The room was clean, inviting, spacious, and functional and talk about location location location! The boardwalk was just blocks away.

  The hotel staff and manager were understanding to allow us a late check in (11:30pm) and a late check out (1pm) upon request. The breakfast served is simple but certainly adequate as we were on the go in the morning. With 2 guys and 2 girls, we appreciated the layout of the space which had 2 rooms (a queen in each)divided by a center wall. Parking... hva folk sier » was very convenient as loaded and unloaded our vehicle with surfboards about 4 times. All boards fit in the room with ease. - Owners were very accommodating and pleasant. The young lady who registered was excellent and very friendly. I'm hoping to be able to go there again and not to expensive. For a senior being able to walk to the boardwalk and pier and not get lost was all worth it.

We were assigned a room on the first floor oof the main building (the Continental Inn as split across 2 buildings, the main building is where the Jacuzzi is and where all the pet accomodating rooms are). While they are pet friendly, there is a $30 surcharge for bringing a pet. The receptionist was incredibly warm and friendly, and - The price, but had the feeling the walk-in guests paid less and got a view which we didn't have from Booking ahead.
