I thought I had booked a room at the "other" Day's Inn on Castillo st and when I looked closer at my reservation it was a State st. The front desk (Sabrina) said they heard this before and I called the "other" Inn and they were not accomodating at all. loved the location, hotel was nice, the lobby was re-done and well staffed. Very quiet hotel and quite comfortable. Loved the hotel and our stay besides the fact that we were in a room that looked nothing like the pictures. I would recommend this hotel just be warned you might not get what you see!

The location was superb, right across from the beach, Stearns Wharf and yacht club. Lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance as was Old Town. Close to many wine bars. Offers nice buffet breakfast. Staff exceptional, especially Mynor at the front desk.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends. -

Loved the lay out with the patios to the pool. The restaurant was delicious. Loved the food and the service. Fruit, water and candy in the rooms. Located across from the mall.

We stayed for 2 separate 3/4 night periods - first on our own room (102) and then in a different room (San Miguel suite) while our son was in 214 for that later stay.
Breakfast was lovely - served to table and fresh "special" daily as well as usual menu items.

In a quiet area compared with the State St hotel we have stayed at before. -
Fabulous place, and a great price. It is comfortable, clean, on a quiet street 2-3 blocks from the beach. I appreciate that it doesn't have lots of bells and whistles (that I don't like paying for), but all the necessities to be comfortable and relax. Nice breakfast included (yogurt/granola, or an egg dish, which changes daily; with fruit, juice, coffee/tea). Staff are very responsive and friendly.

Great location one block from the beach and pier. Nice landscaping and outdoor sitting areas. Clean room recently remodeled.
Great bathroom with two shower heads and modern glass shower. (Its surprisingly difficult to get the two heads the same temperature though. First World Problem.)
Bed sheets smelled great and felt clean and soft. Six pillows on a king size bed were super comfy.
Kitchenette was great although don't see point of gas range and oven with no supplied pots or pans.

The art work all around the hotel was great and there are 2 seating areas on the 1st floor that are quirkily furnished. We had a small furnished patio on the ground floor the room was very small but had all the facilities you need. The bathroom was modern but tiny. I would stay here again. The Mason Beach Inn was a beautiful place to stay! My oldest daughter and I walked to the beach each morning(just 1 block away). The staff was very accommodating. The building and grounds were very clean and inviting. Beautifully landscaped! The continental breakfast was very nice. We ate out poolside each morning. Pool and area were immaculate!

A beautiful Santa Barbara Hotel, great beach location, close to the beach, pier and resturants. Loved the wine & cheese reception on Friday as well as the gorgeous views of the beach. The staff was wonderful very attentive. The room was comfortable especially the down-covered beds. Continential breakfast was just what we needed to start our active day.
