We were accommodated hospitably as a family, as I only made this reservation last week. We were only here for the Macy's Parade. We also appreciated the location of the hotel from the MTA subway. A good restaurant and a discount on Breakfast - Lots of 1920s - 1930s character which to me is essentially NYC's architectural heritage. Friendly, helpful staff all around, including room maid service. Relaxed but organized atmosphere. Doormen value-added service with 'touch of style'. Terrific location near to the Lincoln Centre and Metropolitan Art Gallery. Great variety of reasonably priced restaurants nearby including fine dining at the Nice Matin in the hotel itself to first rate sandwiches at the Amsterdam Deli across the street. E

  The staff were very welcoming and friendly. As soon as we arrived we were given a complimentary upgrade to a Queen suite. The wifi worked perfectly which pleased my teenage children (and me!). We booked a taxi back to JFK at the front desk and a lovely Lincoln Continental arrived on time and made the journey effortless. The - We had a wonderful experience here and will do it again. The staff was MOST helpful (they turned our radiator off when it got warm in the room and also were smiling and accommodating with another small request we had to freeze ice packs in their kitchen freezer). We love this upper west side location, close to really great 'locals feel' shopping- not too touristy. Still some good street vendors nearby. Also an easy walk to the Natural History Museum and Central Park as well. We had a great ti
