One long blockfrom the Duke Kahanmoku statue which is dead center on the beach.   We absolutely loved our stay at Polynesian Plaza! Rooms are nice& definately adequate despite negative reviews! Excellent value for money and in the perfect location for shopping in town. The room we had included a mini kitchenette (2 stove tops, microwave, toaster, fridge etc) and also has a lovely pool which we spent a lot of time at and th... hva folk sier » e beach is just a 5min walk away. The room also has air conditioning to cool the room which was great, without this, we wouldn't have been able to st - My stay at the Polynesian Plaza was wonderful. I wasn't expecting a lot as I was looking for accommodation at a reasonable price. The location was perfect, the staff was excellent and the room was fine. Especially the rooms facing Kalakaua Ave with the balcony as we got a brilliant view of the Halloween festivities on our last night their. I certainly recommend the Polynesian Plaza to anyone seeking something along the lines of what I have highlighted in this review.

  First let start by saying that it is not the Ritz Carlton; however, this hotel is located right in the middle of Waikiki Beach. When you walk out of the lobby it is ½ block walk to the International Marketplace and a 1.5 block to the beautiful Waikiki Beach. It was perfect to wake up to this every morning, with a very big balcony seating area to have coffee and tea. Studio room was also really big with a full kitchen.   The location in Laie was fantastic and it exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and the property grounds were immaculate and beautiful.   The cleanliness of our room and efficiency of the maid services were excellent. Comfort and size of room was excellent however the sofa bed was slightly unstable. Plenty of extra sheets, lightweight blankets and mattress were available. Maids would not only vacuum every second day, they also washed and dried all towels for us. Overall l - Simple, clean. Unit needs updating but it is sufficient. Nice to have the washer/dryer as I worked out alot and it was great being able to wash clothes. A half block away is the running path along the canal which was excellent. The building is very secure and you have free parking which is key in Waikiki as this can be very expensive. There are plenty of markets and coffee shops around and the beach is 3 blocks away. If you don't rent a car the buses all stop just around the corner and you can
