  We attended the waj Alumni Banquet. This was the first time my sister-in- law had been back to the North Eastern part of the U.S. since moving to Germany over 40 years ago. I was able to take her to see some of the damage from the hurricane, as well as the rebuilding completed and some still on going.   Very nice place just outside (2 miles) the craziness of the village. We wanted 'quiet' but close enough to enjoy the downtown area. We drove into town but the trolley is available just outside the Colonel Williams. The owners/staff are very attentive and the grounds/rooms are well cared for. But we were out and about most days & didn't use it (except for 2 days dur - The owners allowed our son to take a shower after picking him up from camp after we had already checked out. It was Greatly Appreciated!

The location is ideal, in the lively city center but right on the lake, featuring a private beach provided with chairs, canoe, paddle boats, toys for the kids, etc.; the staff is professional and attentive, the people in charge of the room cleaning very efficient; our room was quiet and comfortable; the pool and the whirlpools are a nice "plus". We will definitively come back!

  The location was fantastic. It was within walking distance of restaurants and right near the beach. Also, it was not near all of the other hotels so the beach was quiet and not crowded. It was very relaxing. The room was clean and had air conditioning and a nice porch so we could sit outside and have something to eat. The shower was great! Also, they let us have late check out and accommodated us when we asked for a room with a better view. - The location is great, virtually on the beach, and we had a sea view. The room was comfortable and neat with a balcony, and the bathroom sufficient with a big shower. Complimentary coffee in the room which was great. The hotel is walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Owners very friendly.
