  The location was great for exploring the White Mountain area. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and the view from the room made the most of it. The room was very comfortable - clean with lots of space.   I was very impressed with the facility and the staff. It was more than I expected and the view was stunning from our balcony. Our children (9mo, 3yrs, and 6 yrs) had plenty of space in the one berm apt. Not to mention the 3 pools, playground, bonfire and more. Definitely caters to those with and without family. The best thing was even after checking out by 11am we were welcome to use the facilities on the ground - I have been many times over the years. It is awesome place for a romantic getaway or family'S. These mountain side units are breathtaking the outside pools and pond side bon fires are magical for families and couples. (Hint ) the higher up the mountain units the more magnificent. Its gated secure your own lil compound of luxury. If your lucky enough to get snow while in the heated out door pools and Jacuzzi at night with steam from pool coming off. You will be hooked forever.   The Margate is a large and resorty hotel (we tend not to go for any hotel with "resort" in the name) and we got exactly what we expected. However the lake to the rear is wonderful and the highlight of our entire two weeks in New England was probably a meal (very good value) on the little jetty as the sun was setting over the lake (although three ... hva folk sier » pints of the excellent Harpoon IPA may have served to enhance the overall picture somewhat!). And the lady at the bar was wonderful. - I enjoyed the hotel very much. The front desk staff was exceptional, friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed the front lobby very much, I had a friend stop by to see me and we were very comfortable in the seating area, it was very quite and comfortable. I would diffenately come back to the Margate!!

  The room was spacious and very clean... Had a stunning view out on the balcony... The Victorian Style motif was appreciated by the Mrs...the Canopy bed was wonderful... The Penthouse Suite had plates, dishes, microwave, fridge... Granite countertops... Mantlepiece with fireplace with remote... Sofa, chairs, extra towels.... Large Jacquzzi...drapes... hva folk sier » and wall pictures perfectly fit the decor. We loved it... And it was the price value that originally brought our attention, and then the subsequent b - Excellent place clean, helpful staff, luxury as promised and all special requests full filled. Recommend this resort highly I took my grandchildren with daughter and cousin as helpers. They loved it too. Huge tub was a big hit for 5 and 8 year old girls. Enjoyed inside pool too outside too cool a day for it.

  I loved the efficiency style rooms. It allowed my husband and friends and I to stay in and cook. I also loved that we could walk out the inn front door and be in town. - Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had one of the rooms with a spa/whirlpool tub. Which was very relaxing at the end of an adventurous-sightseeing day

  This was our fifth stay at this hotel and our first 'bad' room. The restaurant was delicious and the location and price can't be beat. This is definitely the best lodging in the Gorham area in terms of price and facilities. - I loved the location, views, vintage decor, and amenities.   We love the full kitchen. The gas fireplace, and most of all the jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. Although the place has a few years on it. One would never know. Rooms have that fresh look to them. :) - Our room was very spacious and the kitchen was nice. The outdoor and indoor pools were very nice.
