  AIR Venice is located just adjacent to the beach at a spot almost directly in between Santa Monica and Venice Beach piers. It makes a good home base from which to explore the area by foot or by bike, and only a short walk from some of the best restaurant on Main Street in Santa Monica. If you need to leave your stuff there for the day, just stop - The location cannot be beaten, it was a great way to round off our month trip in the States. We had an oceanview room which I would recommend, plus it has a kitchen (no toaster though would would have been nice). There were plenty of places to eat either on the boardwalk itself or 2 blocks down to Main St where you can also get buses that connect you to others to get you to the rest of la.   Everything was great. Don't let the exterior fool you. Very welcoming, from the staff to the environment. Beach is literally steps away. It is lively all around. Most people would complain about the noise, but you have to take into account that that's just the Venice/Santa Monica environment. Fun and the sun is at your doorstep. We asked for a beach/ocean view and were upgraded upon - Brilliant, friendly & helpfull staff. It's right on the famous boardwalk next to plenty of restaurants & a small convenience store. It's secure, with a good safety deposit box in the room & I felt safe despite the colour characters going in & out at night. My room was also impeccably clean, as was the whole hotel. - The staff at this hotel were sensational! We got to check-in early, had our bags carried up 3 flights of stairs (because the elevator was on the fritz) and got to check-out late so we could sleep off our jet-lag. Plus they have one of the best lobby spaces I've ever seen and there's rooftop access to watch the sunset over Venice.

Drive down behind where Su Casa is and park in the beach front car park beyond it. Had a nice breakfast in the restaurant/cafe situated underneath. - Small and very cosy hotel, located at the walkway on the beach. The view from the hotel is pretty nice too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would go back there next time I am in Venice. You also get half price breakfast on the terrace in front of the hotel where the view is really nice!
