  The staff were so friendly and welcoming and all, especially the concierge Ray, went out of their way to help. We felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated the insider tips on using a Munipass or finding a good place to eat. The hotel was great for a peaceful night's sleep without traffic noise and within walking distance of Crissy Fields and sunse... hva folk sier » t at the Golden Gate Bridge. Excellent public transport to Fisherman's Wharf or city centre. It was also great value for money. - The staff were excellent: friendly and helpful and were able to give us great tips. The cookies were a huge hit with the children and the access to hot tea ( something not so common in USA) was wonderful! The hotel was quiet and although the eating area for breakfast is small, there was never a problem finding somewhere to sit and eat. Having parking was also excellent.

  This was my first trip to sf taking my 13 year old granddaughter. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions, restaurants and ways to travel around the city. The breakfast was simple but all that was needed to start our day plus sitting outside in the courtyard was delightful. The rooms were bright and very clean. No coffee maker or r... hva folk sier » efrigerator but we didn't need them as the coffee in the lobby was excellent. The free parking was a value not found in other hotels. The car stayed p - Nice, clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The heated pool. Big rooms and a great American breakfast that was included in the price. The hotel is in the neighbourhood Marina, which has great restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. It is also well-connected with buses nearby to downtown and to the Golden Gate bridge.

  The Hayes Valley Inn is located in a wonderfully eclectic neighborhood with a number of interesting shops and galleries. I much preferred my stay, here, to staying downtown in the Union Square area, where most of the "tourist' hotels are located. The price $67.00/night was unbelievable!
