  I did not expect much of the hotel, considering previous reviews. But for the price and location, it was excellent. It's tough to find a decent room in a good location for under $100/night in this city! The hotel is situated right on Lombard street, close to the 30 Stockton bus and the 22 Fillmore bus. The staff was also very courteous and help - The staffs here are soooooooo nice. Because of that, I made friends with them. And also they took me around the city. I just wanna say, thank you so much, Binod and john!

  our stay was excellent! we were a young couple traveling on a budget. we had no complaints and we felt we got our money's worth. the manager was so nice!! we read in another review that the room was noisy, but it was understandable because the hotel is located on a cable car route. the noise was manageable and fine to sleep with. everything from th... hva folk sier » e room, bathroom, location, bed, service, price, safety, to the staff was better than most places we stayed for that price. will stay here next time!! - I liked the price, the location worked well and was safe, albeit 'downhill' from Nob hill. My initial anxiety about the location disappeared quickly. My room was cozy, in the basement, and turned out to be very quiet. Bed comfortable, room clean. I had fresh air from a window on an inner courtyard, and even with the window open could hardly hear traffic. Hotel was fairly quiet, overall.
