  Everything...The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was beautiful. When I arrived I walked into the filming of an HBO sitcom in the lobby!!   As soon as we arrived this hotel captured us. It's location was easy to find from the airport (though the driving on the other side of the road/car was a little taxing). The Standard sign placed upside down, the fire heated outside seating area, the colouful indoor waiting area with pool table, warm and welcoming staff with a hairdressers and shop... hva folk sier » all waiting when you enter. We were upgraded to a room with a larger bed and docking station (the bed being the biggest ive seen, let alone slept in) - Everything was perfect. Excellent staff, special mention to Rodrigo, very helpful since the very beginning. The Rooftop is simply amazing, with a nice atmosphere and good music. We did not used the pool as it was always full, LOL. The location is also very good, with the 7th street Metro station 2 blocks away.

  The photo's do not do this hotel justice! The essence of this hotel of rich history or sport, that dark, seductive feel to the rooms- it really was such a wonderful stay! The staff were FABULOUS and so helpful towards our every enquiry. Breakfast in the morning was so refreshing (somewhere that finally serve fruit without it being covered in sugar... hva folk sier » !!) the rooms were spacious and the facilities that were on offer was like no other! ( seriously, how many hotels have a basketball court and running - * Atmosphere of the Hotel - felt like you are in an exclusive private Club. * Liked that you were able to use all the Clubs facilities at no extra charge (indoor swimming pool, gym, squash courts and basketball court) * The breakfast (cooked) was included in the room rate * Location was great to be able to use public transport (bus & subway) + only 20 min walk to Staples Center * King sized bed

  The hotel has a good location, in downtown. The staff was very nice, especially one woman who changed are room without any problem because we were not satisfied with first one (was too noisy because of air condition on the roof top). Some rooms are with old furniture but comfortable and clean. It is really good choice for value of money. The Concierge was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure our luggage was safely stowed while waiting for our flight and assisting with travel to the airport. It is close enough to the Convention Center and Staples to walk although was about 1 mile.

  What did I like about the hotel? Everything! All the staff were very friendly and polite and the hotel was very homely and stylish. I will definitely recommend it to my friends who may be staying in LA and will be back again for another great experience if I come back to LA.
