We like the location on Canal, but not too close to Bourbon Street; easy to get to all sites around the city. Within walking distance of many touristy spots.   The staff greeted us from the door man to food staff when we came thru the lobby to get to our rooms. My gosh! We were there to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary and Drew who checked us in got very busy searching for other accomodations for us. We ended up in the tower suite with a murphy bed. I had heard those could be uncomfortable,but let me tell you the one in the Marriott, was more comfortable than most king size beds we have stayed in at other hotels. Definitely recommend this hote

  Manager Nathanial was very helpful over mixup in booking and lack of 2nd queen bed that should have been in room. Hotel is 2 minute walk (1 block) from famous Bourbon Street in French quarter and 5 minutes from Mississippi River. - Location modern, nice lobby/bar
