and comfortable with fridge and coffee maker. Sitting area was good too.

The Alpenrose was doing some repairs for a bigger reception but they gave us the room at the opposite place to disturb us as less as possible and they upgrade for a room with fireplace very confortable in novembre...The staff was really nice with us, telling us where to go around. The room was simple but very clean.

On the first night we did not get much rest due to a party in the
adjoining room that lasted until 4am. The hotel refunded our money for
that night.
I reserved a non smoking room anf on the second night I and my friend awoke to what appeared to be second hand cigarette smoke in our room. Not sure, but it seemed to be coming from the ventilation. s

Daily happy hour was awesome. The staff was so friendly and willing to
make any drink we could think of. They were so patient and attentive to
the children that ordered. Great staff from gift shop to the Conceirge.
We stayed over Thanksgiving and was recommended some wonderful
resturants. It was a great time.

Kitchen was great! There is a FREE GE Profile washer and dryer on each floor. They also have laundry detergent in your room. They do not have cribs only pack n plays. Bring your own sheet or ask for a small one from housekeeping. They didn't bring one and the mat was questionable. -

Room was clean and stuff is really friendly and helpful. Room was equipped with all sorts of personal items like shampoos, lotions, deodorants etc. We were allowed to make late check out and that helped a lot since we came in late.
So this is a nice family operated hotel.
I would recommend the hotel to other travelers if only they would stay in

Very nice and friendly staff with good recommendations for South Lake Tahoe and the area in general. I would definitely stay here again. It's of course a hostel place so not the highest standard available, but it's well worth the price and it's conveniently located close to both the sea and the state border.

Oh my, so convenient! Right out the door to the gondola, everything is so close, you don't need a rental car. Room was awesome, everything you need, even a washer/dryer! We loved it! Will definitely stay here again! -

When I arrived at the hotel, I was amazed. The outside of this resort looks nice and the location is beautiful. It is located right across from Heavenly so the view of the mountains was spectacular. The inside of the hotel has a 70's feel to it but everything was clean and every hotel staff I cam across was very friendly. The valet park was good,

There was a welcoming staff. The price was excellent value. My husband
loved to watch tv from the hot tub in the room. It was his birthday, he
was so happy he didn't want to go home. We were fortunate to have
the World Cup freestyle ski championships just next door. I left my
phone in the car or dropped it in the valet parking but they called me
to let me know they had found it

The suite we booked for 2 nights exceeded all expectations and had we
known how high the standard of accommodation was we would have factored
in a longer stay here during our trip. The pictures on the hotel website
do not do justice to how lovely the property actually is. Our stay here

Great location - walking distance to Heavenly Village. Kitchen included a crockpot, electric skillet, microwave, refrigerator, and everything else you could possibly need. The patio by the pool included very nice gas grills and clean grilling tools. -

The proximity to the State line provided easy walking distance to shops
both on the California & Nevada side. There were several
restaurants within walking distance. Granted, I visited in the start of
Summer...not sure how well that would go over in Winter. All-in-all,
the Staff was friendly and helpful of any inquiry I had about local

The owner really cares about her visitors.
She puts herself out to help them.
She thinks of little details which show her dedication - things like fruit in the room or a little gift bag when you leave.
The place is spotless and very near a nice private beach to which you will have access.
There are plenty of parking facilities.
There are some wonderful things to see at Lake Tahoe and the staff will point them out to you.
Highly recommended.
