This is a warm, friendly place, with a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful gardens, and a small beach. There are kayaks and paddle boats which quests can use for no additional charge. If you like night life, loud music and glitzy entertainment, I suggest you stay elsewhere. If you like peaceful, clean and comfortable, with fresh scones in the office daily, this is the place for you. Although some of the rooms are small, they are fitted with frig and micro, AND basic place settings for 2, includi.
alle vurderinger » we had a great stay at bay harbor lodge. the staff was always friendly and answered all our questions. we got very valuable recommendations where to eat and what to do which we really appreciated as the weather was horrible when we arrived. we had a great time and really loved the scones that were provided every morning at the reception. Excellent location on Key Largo. There is private access to the water and guests can use the lawn with beach chairs. Nice room, bit small, but it had everything we needed including picknick table outside. Friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again. Closeness to the Bay and a swimming pool. Beautiful landscaping with trees and flowers. Great staff. Everything about it. This was our 14th year in Key Largo and by far the best place we have stayed. Can't wait to go back next spring. Excellent relaxing beach vacation. Laid back atmosphere, beautiful grounds and water view. Refreshing pool. Great for a romantic getaway. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Nothing. Nothing. No complaints!. The Internet coverage didn't extend to the room which wasn't a drama but would have been more convenient. the bed we had in unit 11 needs a bit of an upgread. I felt like i was rolling to the other side and though I would push my husband ut of bed. I don't drive, so I had some difficulties going to commercial area. Could be useful to provide the guests with the time table of the public transportation. Air con is pretty loud. No facilities for divers, such as rinsing tanks or places to dry up your gear. The beach is in manatee grass under water - rather specific, like in lake or river... but not bad - just unespected for me. Adults and children we playing in the water with pleasure, have seen star-fish and 3inches baracuda. Rooms could have been bigger but were functional. Air con was noisy when starting up. Price is too high for a small room facing the main road. Very few storage facilities in room. The bed had hairs in it and the bathroom was in a very tired condition and covered in hairs. There was a lot of noise from the room above due to poor sound insulation. The general condition was that of a cheap motel but the price certainly did not reflect this. Not worth the money and very stingy, asked about a check out 2 hr later in a room that was to be vacant the following night and was quoted a 75.00 dollar charge and the gentleman was unpleasant as well. Won't stay there again.
