Once there it looked like we booked at the no tell hotel. However, the room was very clean, we ate breakfast sitting out on the chairs on bay side and it was wonderful and relaxing. It was directly in the center of everything including the beach location. Yet the room was quite inside which worked for sleeping. I'm in my mid 50's and my husband is 60. It worked great for us great. We had two queen beds, a little hard for my liking a small kitchenette, but my brother stopped by for a night and w.
alle vurderinger » The accommodations were excellent. The cleaning staff did a great job everyday. You couldn't ask for better location. Surrounded by excellent places to eat along with the best ice cream shops on the island. We can't wait to go back! Shipwrecks Hotel staff were also very friendly!. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Although it is an older building everything was in excellent condition. We could walk to beach/food and never had to move the car. Stafff was extremely courteous and quick to respond to requests (more towels, etc.). The location of the motel was great, within easy access to the beach, restaurants and bars. It was quiet, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. For the money we paid, it was excellent. This was the third time we have stayed at the Shipwreck. We enjoy the low key enviroment and the friendly staff. We are already planning our trip next year. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. They printed our boarding passes, which now is $10/ tix! Rooms were very clean, I would highly recommend!. I've stayed here multiple times. If I had to find anything negative to say, I would say that the decor/TV/furniture could do with updating/revamping, but to be honest the fact that the room was clean and bed was comfortable was enough. We would happily stay there again, if we were ever in Fort Myers Beach. The cleaning staff needs some work. I understand our visit was over spring break, but I had to ask several times to have our room cleaned and fresh linens on the beds. I would suggest having Wifi; we wanted to keep track of some things while vacationing, and the lack of Wifi at the location made this impossible. But, it wasn't all bad being separated from the rest of the world!. Our tv remote did not work but no big deal, we weren't in the room that much & the freezer did not keep our ice cream frozen. No issues at all. Tvs need to be upgraded.Wifi should be offered,since cell phone services are in and out in the area.Was unable to use our laptop all weekend.Staff was excellent. Sheets were kinda worn / thin. mattress hurt my back. Would have liked outlets in the restroom. Old. The kitchenet. No internet. Nothing. Room too small. A problem with tiny tiny ants. Rooms are small and older. Not a hotel. was more like cottages duplex units. Price was really high. more than a 4 star resort. Need throw rugs in the rooms. Sand and tile can be annoying. Or maybe a broom would be nice. :). could be more upgraded, bathrooms. need to clean up outdoor around the sitting and pool areas.
