Jay at the front desk was a great help. He was friendly and accommodating; he even left my room key and parking pass under the mat as I was arriving after 11pm which is when the front desk closes. The room I was in was cozy- there was a single king bed, closet, dresser, table, kitchenette and bathroom. Very simple and basic. This is not the Ritz, so if you stay here keep that in mind. The staff is friendly and helpful but they only have about 26 rooms and run on a small staff. But the rooms in .

The owners offered great advice on a local restaurant, and were just friendly and awesome. I loved the value of being right across from the beach - like 1-200 feet! without the price. Very walkable area. Lots of cars and people out walking in the evenings, especially on the weekend. Clearwater Beach is the wrong spot if you want solitude, but great if you want wonderfully walkable shops a. We came on vacation got married here at the gulf beach inn the managers were so nice they helped plan and took part in our wedding they made us feel like family we have chosen to return as often as we can from lebanon indiana and we will be staying here thank you Mr. &Amp; Mrs. Coach a we love you guys . The location is great just across from the Beach and the price I paid was very budget-friendly. If I return to Clearwater Beach Shores, my place to stay would be Gulf Beach Inn. I really enjoyed my stay there and my husband and I will make it a every year inn we go to for vacation. I loved it. The location was great, only a very short walk to the beach and to the shopping and bar scene. The room was comfortable, with a king size bed. The price was 50% lower than any other hotel on the main strip. I highly recommend this motel. The owner and his wife are so great! We even had such a beautiful meal for Thanks Giving day with them. You just need to across a street to go the fabulous beach. Also they put us in better and better room, as we stay longer and longer. Location was perfect. Within walking distance to everything I needed. Jay was super nice and my bed was super comfy. Traveling as a single woman I felt very safe and slept very well. I will be back and recommend to future travelers. The atmosphere at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The hotel floor felt like there was a film left on it when walked on barefoot. Bathrooms could be updated and cleaned a little more thorough. Should offer fresh towels daily and when room serviced, bring more shampoo. The wireless internet did not work, but that was the last thing we cared about. The Wifi works only around the pool side at certain hours. If you want to keep your business going from your room, you need to bring your own Wifi. Only one window opened (I love fresh air). But not an issue I just sat outside on my patio alot!. Street was busy thus a little noisy. But that is to be expected being so close to the action. Room doors open out, which is a little awkward. Be careful that you don't open your door when there is the possibility of a passerby. There were a few bits of rubbish under our bed when we moved in. The cutlery and dishes in the press were filthy and stained so badly that they didn't come off even when we scrubbed them. Also there was only one spoon, fork and knife and me and my partner had to share them between us for breakfast!. a small table would be good. Maid did not clean room ,had to ask for clean towels next day. No clock radio no in room phones. The bed wasn't all that comfortable. The shower worked, but some plumbing issues, minor. Has microwave and large frig, bring your own utencils, cups, plates if planning on eating in your room. The room type we booked online was not available at check in and we had to settle for a smaller room. Can't think of anything we didn't like about our stay. The owner of the motel was rude drunk and made derogatory remarks to my wife, because she drank a little to much. You might want to think of choosing a friendlier motel for your customers. No extra towels no extra tissue paper no extra blankets or pillows no blow dryer. Nothing. unheated pool. Stationed by the pool could be loud at times (but generally quietened down around 10:30pm). Got a parking ticket while checking in...make sure to leave someone at the car while you get your parking pass. Needs to have to remodeled bathroom there Clean but old. (Festival that weekend). mold in refirgerator front door needs upgrade. Bathroom size. The pool is good but is smaller than expected and gets a little crowded when full of kids. Somewhat noisy. Minimalist: had empty spaces and had no chair, so that it was not possible to sit and write a card. the bed was small and uncomfortable and the air conditioning unit was very noisy. in my room # 210 the knob for the hot water in the shower doesn't work, you open it and nothing comes out so we had to take cold water showers, very annoying. Also in the room next to us there was a lot of noise during the night. The hotel had too many rules. One of the signs said pool was closed at 9:00 pm next minute we were being yelled at for swimming in the pool at 7:00. Couldn't use grills passed 7:00 pm. It is still daylight at 7:00 pm in the summer. No outside guests in pool area. The hotel doesn't have any of its own parking. They give you a parking pass to park 2 blocks away from hotel. They neglected to tell me my parking pass wouldn't work out front of hotel,which ended in a $20 parking ticket. Our room opened straight onto the street which was busy and noisy at night. The grounds needed maintained, not been weeded for a long time. Not a pleasant look.
