  Because the "Alex" is the only Hotel that I have stayed in in Odessa I do not consider myself an expert. But having stayed in many hotels around the world I will say this rate highly.   The hotel was very clean and the courtyard was beautiful. The restaurant associated with the hotel offered a great breakfast. Lunch and dinner menus were extremely good as was the beer and staff.   The staff are so friendly and they helped me what ever I was expecting. - Good breakfast, convenient next to train station and 10 minute walk to one of the not so crowded beaches ( otrada), also nice that we got free entrance to itaka beach/night club.

  The staff in the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. The facilities within the hotel were 1st class. The pool area was lovely and spacious. I used the gym which was well equipped.   I enjoyed my stay and found it easy to get on with the staff who on the whole were very helpful.My Russian language is shocking but the staff helped with my needs - Really nice and supportive stuff. Nice view from the window (I had a room in the 10th floor and saw all the city and as well the see).

  The best staff in town. They were very friendly and thier english is very good. Your odessa guide is just at the reception. Amazingly comfortable and excellent location for summer - Friendly, comfortable and well located if you have a car or plan to go to the beach only
