  I travel for business world wide. I have made many trips to Russia and cis countries. Its been several years (2008) since my last stay in Kiev. At that time there were several good hotels and then a few great ones. The great (ones 1-2) are very expensive and value to dollar for business is marginal. It has been completely remodeled and - Wery luxury and great service! Excellent restaurant (try a fish). English spoken personal, very friendly. I ask for reservation of taxi for an airport (in the check out) mantionet Sky Taxy and they preper everything. It cost 120 grivnas (very cheap)! When I fly on the airport and findou taxydriver by myself it cost 300 grivnas! Very friendly personal (not really smiling but very unhasitating. Excellent room cleaning service. But it actually has a giant shopping complex next door, plenty of good restaurants, the metro station is very close and there is quite a large park a little further away. The breakfast was also decent and the room had kettle facilities. We did not have to pay until we checked out so I liked that too.
