Only a minute from the numerous shops, restaurants and pubs of Windermere; a mere 5 minute walk from the railway and coach station; and only a pleasant 15 minute stroll to the beautiful Lake Windermere. Although Cambridge House does not have a car park, parking is available on the road.

Excellent location. The apartment was very well equiped and the ownermade us feel very welcome. Although we stayed there in summer it wasquite cold and wet but heating was available all day if we wanted touse it. It was a real home from home which made catering for a childvery easy. The guest house is very warm and welcoming and cleaned to a high standard. Debbie and Dave who own it are extremely helpful and dave does a great breakfast.alle vurderinger »
Friendly staff and the location was very good. local attractions, area in general. We stayed at Revel Stones which is close to Bowness centre so the lake and restaurants are within walking distance but it is in a quiet location away from the main street. Accommodation is well equipped -both rooms have an en suite bathroom and TV. Visit the local cinema - the children loved the atmosphere and the intermission for ice cream!. Very welcoming, nice room and a good place from which to explore the windermere and the lakes. All in all a lovely stay.
DVD player and video library was a nice touch.Really good breakfast, lovely room with a much more personal touch than a hotel, very convenient to both windermere and bowness. excellent breakfast and such a nice bed1. staff were very good. Location was excellant.The bedrooms were below ground level and the lower floor did smell quitedamp. But overall this would not put us off using the apartment again. parking can be a problem but there are parking permits available.parking at the guest house was difficult due to permit restrictions. Close to all the towns amenities but a further from the lake than i was expecting.parking near by was a bit of an issue. My bed was a little lumpy but otherwise it was lovely. It a shame that there is not place to park outside.You cannot amend the booking once made, we wanted to reduce the booking by one night but it is not the hotels policy to allow this. there could have been a bit more choice at breakfast time and the room was extremly small we kept getting in each others way. we were also lead to believe there would be a dvd player in our room but there was only a video player. also there was only enough milk for one cuppa each other than that it was reasonably comfortable. Although there is parking available on the road, it is usually filled up and difficult to find a slot. Would have liked a bath.
