The staff were very friendly and efficient and the rooms were modern and big enough for us and our two children.
Although the hotel only offers a continental breakfast there is a Greggs, Costa, WH Smiths and some other eateries on site so plenty of choice.
The location of the hotel is just of the A1 near Wetherby, the surroundings were pleasant for a motorway and there was no traffic noise from the room.
Good location for York, 30 minute drive and half the hotel price, would stay here again :-). alle vurderinger »
Was a bit worried when i realised the hotel was next to service station but was pleasantly surprised at the fantastic new rooms, friendly service and handy location for wetherby. Food and drinks can be bought from the convenient m&s, costa coffee and cafe just in front of the hotel. We saw Viv from Emmerdale at the hotel - if its good enough for her its good!!.
Room was lovely.Despite been located just off the motorway/service station, the room was very quiet.
Hotel very clean throughout.
Staff were all very helpful/friendly
Breakfast was great! Very good value (especially at £2.95 for my 6 year old and free for my 3 year old!)
Excellent location for our journey to visit friends in Wetherby.
It was a lovely hotel & will be staying there again the staff were very helpful &.friendly location was excellent have to say the beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in as far as hotel beds go so all in all thanks for making our weekend one to remember x Kim & Bryan from Halifax West Yorkshire.
The hotel is located in the services station which was a plus and minus.
It was vey clean and nice. We prefer two sheets on our bed and only had
one. In August the room was hot even with the window open so using a
duvet was not necessary. Nice staff and we were able to check in early
for an extra £10.
Very nice hotel. Clean, comfortable and ideally situated to access some of the most idyllic parts of West and North Yorkshire. Ample parking and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a nice hotel without having to pay over the odds!.
I stayed there with my husband and two young children. The room was clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and the choice of breakfast was fantastic!! Would highly recommend this hotel. It was also very central for everything we needed for the weekend.
Elegant, modern, bright design. Large, bright reception area. Very good bedrooms -- quiet, good bed, very nice walk-in shower, duvets. Surprisingly good overall for a budget hotel. Please ask Marriott to visit you for some design ideas!.
I e-mailed to say i was allergic to animals and holly phoned me to tell me they had a dog show and would i be o.k. if we deep cleaned your room i said yes thank you for letting me know. and i can say we did not smell dogs at all.
We only stayed one night as a stop-over on our holiday journey.Everything was excellent and just what we wanted as a resting place,Staff were good, the room was very nice and comfortable and the breakfast was great,Thank you.
We were celebrating a friends wedding and quite cheekily phoned reception to see if we could borrow some champagne flutes, within five minutes we had champagne flutes brought to our door, by a cheerful member of staff.
Nice airy lobby with plenty of light. Rooms were basic but comfortable and clean. Beats Travel Lodge and Premier Inn. Good continental breakfast and friendly staff. Only twenty minutes drive into the centre of York.
fantastic room for not a lot of money, staff very friendly and would most def stay there again. Paid 3 times more for a room in York that wasn't anywhere as nice and the hotel and room were very disabled friendly.
The room was clean tidy and more modern than I was expecting.
Shower was amazing, so unusal for a hotel
Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble
would stay again when in the area.
Rooms very clean and looked like they were recently refurbished, bed was comfortable, continental breakfast options were good, Internet connection was fast, check-in was quick and staff were friendly.
price was brilliant, was very impressed as it was a family room and the pull out bed was very comfy and of a really good size. The whole room was spotless, shower lovely and staff very helpful.
Very clean and modern, plenty of space in the room, nice toilet/shower room, nice and warm, enough towels, spare pillows if required.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
We were travelling from Scotland to Essex and Wetherby was a very convenient half-way stop. The hotel was ideal for our needs, very clean, comfortable with pleasant staff.
We have stayed at the Days Inn Wetherby many times now. On all occasions we have been very happy with the staff and rooms. Staff very child friendly and welcoming.
imaculate clean and welcoming after a long drive could not fault it and better than travel lodge and prem inns .....desk staff faultless very helpful and pleasant.
All staff were very professional and courteous. Room was very clean and plenty of space for myself, my husband and 2 children. Continental breakfast very nice.
I liked the space around which was excellent for the dogs and very
clean. I came for a dog show. The accomodation was accessable and easily
reached by lift.
Daniel on reception was efficient, professional and prompt, no messing around. Welcomed us explained quickly succinctly everything we needed to know.
Excellent location. Great facilities at the services. Easily accessible. Lovely ensuite bathroom. Fantastic shower. Good sized room for a short stay.
Room was very clean and comfortable and the bed was extremely comfortable with curtains that blocked out the light. The hotel was relatively quiet.
Clean, warm and comfortable rooms with little traffic noise despite proximity to motorway. Helpful staff. Would be an ideal spot for Wetherby races.
We were pleasantly surprised how clean, comfortable, warm and cosy the room was for the budget friendly price. We will definitely be staying again.
Room was moxern and clean. Glasses and Ice available for your own drink. Microwave ans plates available for heating meals from M&S next door.
Friendly helpful staff with good local knowledge.
The pub recommended in Wetherby was excellent value for both food and drink.
Fresh and airy.
It suited our trip. We needed a base while we were attending a wedding day and a reunion. We were very central for York and Harrogate. Perfect.
clean, v friendly staff
efficient
good location for York and Wetherby
no road noise from A1 (tho in Summer you prob would hear with window open.
Clean, well equipped, friendly, excellent value for money and a convenient centre for many attractions. Definitely on our list for the future.
Very friendly staff. Staff provided advice re available takeaways and allowed us to use cutlery plates etc which was great. Rooms were good.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was quiet at night and everything that we needed was supplied. I would stay again very good value.
Friendly helpful staff and first class facilities. We were travelling with our Golden Retriever and we enjoyed a stress free overnight stay.
Clean, modern motel.
Quick, easy check-in & check-out.
Quiet.
Plenty of free parking.
Free WiFi and several power outlets in the room.
This was the perfect place for our large group of friends to stay for a friends wedding that was close by. Cheap, comfy and lovely staff.
Couldn't fault the quality of our stay, bathrooms clean, bedding good quality and general quality was excellent would highly recommend.
Very friendly staff & they allowed our infant daughter and our dog! I would stay there again when traveling to the The North.
Very clean, modern room & bath, conveniently located next to food and fuel, right off the A1. Great price for quality of room.
Hotel was very clean, non smoking and we have got good price for 2+2. Location was just right for our trip to York and Harrogate.
Everything was really good, the price was good value, the room was a good size, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was also nice.
Very professional staff..particularly reception..well groomed and well spoken and efficient.
Exellent value on my special deal.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. I was worried about traffic noise but, I can honestly say that I didnt really hear it!.
Handy for Wetherby Racecourse, York, Harrogate.....and of course the services are on same site, so choice of things to eat.
Warm welcome.Ideal quiet location.Clean comfortable accommodation.Pleasant reception/lounge area.Good breakfast facilities.
It's new and the rooms are well furnished, clean and the bathrooms modern. It's quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Just about everything!
Rooms well equipped, clean, well-lit, beds comfy, plenty of towels and tissues. Staff friendly.
- Friendly, efficient staff.
- Great location adjacent to A1.
- Modern, high standard of furnishings in the room.
Easy check in and check out. Comfortable large disabled facilities are great. Very friendly staff. Very clean.
The next door room was quite noisy, a lof of foot steps and banging could be heard till gone midnight which would suggest the sound proofing between rooms isn't great, hopefully just a one off.
As a mother it would have been nice to have a small play area at the back of the hotel (on the grassed area).
The services station is open 24hrs so we had a bit of road noise and
people walking by our window occasionally. We were assigned two bottom
level rooms, not sure if those are the usual for "budget"
rates but if we were higher up or on the back of the hotel the noise may
not have bothered us as much. We could have used a top sheet or fan as
it was warm.
Bed was a bit too soft for my partner but everything else was fine.
Nothing really.
Pillows were not the most comfortable.
For full breakfast you would have to go to the service station which is ok but a bit soulless.
Location isn't ideal, but it is what it is, a hotel at the services and to be fair there are some decent views of greenery.
nothing.
Nothing else to do in the area with it being on the services. Could maybe have a kids corner for families. That's just my opinion though as my children were little bit bored but I suppose it depends on how many families stay at this hotel.
I was surprised to pay over £70 despite having booked a week ago.
The sofa bed in our room dipped significantly in the middle and prooved very uncomfortable for our children, so on the first night we had to swap beds with them. On subsequent nights we put the mattress on the floor, and they were alot more comfortable. Bunk beds may be a better option when two young children are staying.
Would like to have had a cooked breakfast. We could only see a continental option.
Wifi was a bit flaky in the room. Continental breakfast a little pricey but other choices available in the main services.
Nothing.
No bar! (Yes it is coming!).
Would have preferred restaurant on site for lunch, evening meals etc. Bar would have been good. We were attending a wedding at Allerton castle. You provided transport for some of the guests, however when we asked about transport we were given taxi numbers. This cost us £65 in total. The wedding website had indicated that you would provide a shuttle service. This spoilt an otherwise very positive experience stay at Days Inn Hotel.
I would have preferred a section of the car park to be designated to the hotel and a bit more secure.
Nothing.
Outward opening door on bathroom was a bit of a pain and the bathroom floor gets very wet from the wetroom style shower. But these are minor issues.
Maybe a 12pm check out would have been a bonus!.
The bed was a little hard.
Could not open the windows for Health & Safety reasons, so there was no air circulation in the room and felt quite stuffy. Also, the sofa bed was not very comfortable, even with my low expectations of sofa beds.
Missed eggs for breakfast, but the selection was good enough to start the day.
When we arrived, at 12.30pm to check in and get ready for a wedding we were attending, we were told that we could not check in till 2pm unless we paid an extra £10. I thought this was unreasonable, as 2pm is a late check in time in my opinion (especially since the Days Inn is aware that guests attend weddings at the castle where we went) and charging us extra was a bit cheeky considering our room happened to be ready at that time.
Nothing.
I did not like Wetherby. The people were unfriendly and we could not get a taxi back to the hotel. We were eventually given a lift back to the hotel by a takeaway driver.
The breakfast is basic and continental only but adequate.
Difficulty in booking family room via company website (I understand this is a temporary technical fault). Also being routed to an international call-centre when trying to make telephone booking direct with hotel. They quoted excessively high rates! Finally secured acceptable price and vacancy via Bookings.com.
Continental breakfast okay for £5.95, but far better value can be obtained in Morrisons café in Harrogate, e.g. all-day breakfast ("the works") is only £4.95.
