Charming country house ambience. Very comfortable double bed.
2 minutes stroll to Uppingham School hall where we were attending a charity ball.-- so no worries about drinking and driving or needing a taxi.
Very good traditional English breakfast.
Christina and Ian were both very accommodating and friendly. The were happy to layout champagne and cake we had brought with us in one of their guest sitting rooms and throughout our stay our party of 5 was made very welcome.alle vurderinger »
Has real old-fashioned quality feel - what the youngsters call retro or vintage. It's family owned and run, and very welcoming. I have been there twice before.
Charming hotel, lovely beds, pleasantly old-fashioned but with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Delicious breakfast and very helpful staff.
Warm friendly welcome, good selection of breakfast items.
Room comfortable and quiet.
Lovely relaxing garden.
Centrally located to nearby amenities.
lovely, very English traditional place... right in the heart of Uppingham.
Very friendly, pleasant owners and staff.
Great breakfast!.
We stayed there for 6 nights.Ian and Christine Hackney had been helpful and warm. Hotel is comfort, clean and rural.
Very nice garden. Lounge/bar rooms were homely - nice proportions.
Nice, clean rooms, friendly owners, good value for money.
Lovely hotel and very welcoming. I recommend it.
:-).
Money valuable.
Atmosphere.
Location and friendly owners.
Our room (no.2) was a little cramped -- but perfectly adequate for a short stay.
Everything acceptable and as expected.
Sink in room not in bathroom area. In that respect felt more like B&B arrangement than 'ensuite hotel room'.
None.
Room was small and needed updating. owners are trying to sell and therefore are unlikely to want to invest in updating.
