The building itself was old and had lots of character. The bedroom felt like going back in time, in a good way. I do not agree with the reviews that say that it needs updating or that the decor is 'tired'. It's a period property. I liked very much too that there wasn't muzak being played during breakfast. Staff were friendly. Nice to have 3 options of different cooked breakfast in addition to cereals etc!. alle vurderinger »
Staff were outstanding in service and responsiveness.
The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, and the service excellent.
We had to kill some time waiting for hire car and other commitments - the staff were quite happy for us to do this in the lounge / bar area and were helpful and friendly throughout.
The staff were welcoming and ever so nice. A short walk from city centre makes it ideal for a walk around the shops and popping back to drop off bags and have a drink! The food was fantastic, a very very clean place to stay. Immaculate nut warm and friendly!.
A cute hotel with only 6 rooms! We were there at a very busy time, during the Shrewsbury Flower Show, and the staff were always friendly and attentive. The room was quite nice. Good email access. Very centrally located for doing tourist stuff in Shrewsbury.
Very clean, friendly polite staff, easy check in and out, excellent room
although slightly small, large well laid out en-suite,breakfast good
value and plenty of it,evening meal a disappointment, however was given a
discount on checkout bill.Will return.
Great location in the middle of Shrewsbury. Although Shrewsbury has a lively nightlife and the Marathon was on that weekend the room was very quiet and we got a good night's sleep. Breakfast was also good with attentive and courteous service.
The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I asked for a quiet room and they did the best they could as it is on a busy road. But it's great to be in the middle of town.
Sunday roast was excellent.
Breakfast great.
I spent 2 nights at Morgans and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff are effecient and very helpful, and the location's perfect! I highly recommend it.
The staff were very friendly and really added to our brief stay. They bent over backwards to help us without any prompting from us. Our room, too, was pleasantly quirky in its shape.
Very helpful staff. Food was great as was the selection of beverages. Comfortable and welcoming. You could see the staff cared about what they were doing. Overall, excellent value!.
The hotel was very pretty and comfortable at the same time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Shrewsbury.
Very nice rooms and food. Obviously recently refurbished. Very freiendly staff and no fuss admin-wise either. Very nice indeed and would def stay again.
I like independent hotels so it was nice to stay in a place that wasn't a chain. The room was lovely and the breakfast was really nice. Good service.
The staff were very good and they helped with getting me checked in earlier then usual due to me being busy elsewhere at normal check in.
The staff were friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room and facilities were very clean and in very good condition.
Lovely ambience. Excellent bar and wonderful breakfast. Very friendly staff especially the owner. I would definitely stay here again.
Small village. Friendly staff, pub and neighbors. Walking in the village and the food festival in the park by the hotel.
Lovely hotel, rooms were great. Beds were extremely comfortable and the shower was one of the best I've ever had.
We enjoyed our stay very much the rooms where clean the staff were friendly and the food was good.
Friendly staff nice atmosphere and close proximity to the cartoon
festival area where I was going.
Staff were really good.
Room was nice.
Fairly easy to get to from station.
Really good showers.
Lovely hotel. Great rooms. Excellent quality food & friendly staff. Could not ask for better.
Good room. Friendly staff. Within short walking distance of the sites of Shrewsbury.

Great hotel, central location, good facilities.
The staff are very good, service is great.
Simple booking in and access process.
Where it was,the room was very nice,.
Need a rubber bath mat in the shower.
it was good for shopping and pubs.
Great location and helpful staff.
Friendly staff and clean room.
Friendly and helpful staff.
location and friendliness.
No elevator however the staff carried my bag up two flights of stairs - most appreciated.
The room was warm, clean and had plenty of towels. Great biscuits.
Comfortable beds, clean. easy to park during the night.
Restaurant dinner very good and some interesting dishes.
Friendly sraff.
Not much. My egg was over cooked!.
Nothing - it was all good.
It's not handicap accessible, 5 of the 6th rooms you have to climb 37 steps to get to. The staff did help us haul our luggage up. On the street front it is noisy at night with the windows open, but they very helpfully provide ear plugs.
No car parking, overnight car park several hundred yards away and had to
renew ticket before 0800 hrs.Saturday night booked table for meal,no-one
told us the Morgans Bar becomes a music venue and couldn't have a
conversation while eating,band very loud.Steak undercooked,sat for 20
mins without a drink, had to fight way to bar through crowd
eventually, waitress was nowhere to be seen.
Room a little small with difficulty walking round the bed.
Nothing.
Nothing.
N/A.
Nothing really except the bar noise but there again it was a Sat night and its obviously on the pub trail for thirsty Sharovians so can't really complain. Probably means the beer is good anyway!.
We had a room with an enormous velux window right over the bed. There was a curtain over it but, in summer, you are awake as soon as the light comes in. Could do with covering it with better blackout material.
one of the rooms was a little small.
the style of the bed as I banged my leg on the end of it and had a nasty bruise.
Parking facilities very poor. Pay and display car park across from
hotel was an expensive extra. Thankfully a female member of staff
gave me directions to a long stay car park nearby and that saved me a
bit of cash.
Room was quite warm, but then we probably didn't find the thermostat...
Nothing to fault!.
As most town centre hotels in Shrewsbury it did not have a car park. There were short stay car parks over the road with a maximum stay of 2 hours between 8am and 6pm. The car park at St Chads church, tound the corner has parking all day for £7 but is small. The city's parking arrangements are designed for using the park and ride stops.
No hotel parking. Nearest car parks were only shirt stay for 2 hours, not great if there for weekend.
a bit noisy in the evening - but not a problem if you are a bit of a night owl.
The traffic was quite noisy during the night.
The breakfast as we ordered toasted teacakes, we waited 20 minutes only to be told there were no teacakes so we had to have crumpets which were not very nice.
Unfortunately, there's no lifts and we had heavy lugguage. Besides, I don't know why, I was supposed to book 2 nights, but in the record of both Morgan & letsbookhotel.com, I had made one night. Since there's no more room available and I need to move to another place tomorrow, I ended up spending my night in MacDonald, a very bad memory.
Noise coming from next door room during the night.
Food in the hotel was expensive,no parking but that was the same for most places to stay in Shrewsbury.
At night there were hoon's cars roaring and squeals of delight from young women in the street that prevented me from sleeping until midnight. Then at 6 a.m. the noise from cars, trucks and buses in the street woke me earlier than desired. The bed was very low to the floor.
The bed was far too big for the room (room 5) making it difficult to move around.
nothing.
Room was too cramped - more space needed.
3 adults stayed in the family room, it was too small and the camp bed
was very uncomfortable. We thought it was a little expensive and didnt
include breakfast.
no food as we arrived late, but they arranged for sanwiches. No elevator, narrow stairs. A bit noicy during the night.
Double room was unacceptably small and had no ventilation except window facing kitchen extract fan.
Werent overally accommodating when I arrived early.
Small double bed, shower lacked volume of water and power.
