On the cliff tops at Porth, the Kenton is just 5 minute walk from Porth beach. It features a lounge and bar area with panoramic sea views. Most rooms at the Kenton have sea views overlooking the bay and Porth Island. All rooms have a TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and bathroom with a shower. The Kenton has licensed bar and games room with billiards and darts. There is also a restaurant serving home-cooked meals from July to September (advance booking required). Newquay town centre, its famous beaches and Watergate bay with Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant are 5 minutes’ drive or 30 minutes’ walk from the Kenton. The cliff path offers coastal walks with stunning views. Well-known for surfing and water sports, Newquay and Watergate bay also has a lively nightlife. Newquay Zoo, the Blue Reef Aquarium and the Lane Theatre are all within 10 minutes’ drive.

Hotel is in a great location, the staff were lovely, especially the lady who checked is in. Was travelling with a friend, both our rooms were clean and had lovely views as we had requested, both were bright and airy. The breakfast served was delicious and well cooked served by the same nice lady so had a real family run feel about it. Would defiantly stay here again and the price was excellent!.
alle vurderinger » Laura and family made me feel very welcome and I loved the friendly family atmosphere in the place. My room was on the side but still got an amazing view of the sea and the cliffs. Room in good condition. Bar staff very nice. Great breakfast. Would easily go again :). the hotel staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome,there was a cheerful and friendly atmosphere at breakfast time and the breakfast was very good.the location is close to porth beach and only a few miles from newquay centre. Hospertailty was superb room was spotless. The view from the room breath taking ;0) staff made you feel very welcome, all places of interest were very close, breakfast was enough, all round value for money, thank you. Lovely hotel, family run by enthusiastic staff. Requested a sea view and was given top floor room with panoramic views across the ocean. Excellent breakfast, easy free parking, would book again. The whole experience was great. The staff were very friendly. The food was great. The view was out of this world. Very comfy and clean hotel. Couldn't fault it. The hotel was situated in a pleasant spot over looking the bay, food was of good quality and extremely helpful staff. very friendly, very good food, very comfortable, bus stop outside ( not very reliable) taxi was very good. The breakfast was quite delicious. Location is relatively ok. owners friendly & helpful when the curtains needed putting back on the rail & sorting tv. Only staying one night. Nothing that I can remember :). Only quibble was the area is so expensive to eat and drink, family's could be in for a shock, the bar in hotel was closed and only sold canned beer which came in at nearly £6 for two cans,( John smiths & carlsberg) hence we only had a can each. Stay wasn't long enough... The mattress was not of my liking I am a well set bloke and it struggled to support my back also the pillows could do with looking at in lines of up dating them. quite a way out of Newquay. There was nothing about this hotel that I didn't like. I found a hair in my mushrooms when given the breakfast meal. The cook needs to wear a hair net. Didn't stay long enough!. Nothing not to like. Pillows..hairdryer. Pillows - need updating - old feather-type! It was very hot and the rooms were quite stuffy. Over-priced for a 2-star rating!. Dogs are welcome and although I like dogs people would let them bark and make noises very early in the morning which could be disturbing. Decor and condition of hotel needs a total revamp.cleanliness. Needed to use our wipes to clean things before we could touch, light switches lights etc. bedding, bed awful. My back has suffered since. Pillows need replacing. unpleasant odour. would not have stayed. We tried to find somewhere else we couldnt at such short notice.
